    Triton SCS: Warehouse Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS:

    • Manage day-to-day warehouse activities and workflow.
    • Ensure efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
    • Maintain warehouse organisation, layout and housekeeping standards.

    INVENTORY & STOCK CONTROL:

    • Maintain accurate stock levels and records.
    • Conduct cycle counts and stock audits.
    • Investigate and resolve stock variances and losses.

    HEALTH & SAFETY COMPLIANCE:

    • Enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct safety training and risk assessments.
    • Ensure safe use of equipment and compliance with regulations.

    LOGISTICS & DISTRIBUTION COORDINATION:

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Education:

    • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Management or related field.
    • Relevant certifications (advantage): Inventory/Stock Control, Health & Safety, Forklift/Material Handling.

    Experience:

    • 3–5 years warehouse or logistics experience.
    • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
    • Experience managing teams and warehouse operations.
    • Experience working with transport and distribution processes.

    Triton SCS: Facilities Administrator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Facilities Management and Maintenance:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of office buildings, warehouses, or other facilities.
    • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and upgrades with vendors and contractors.
    • Manage building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

    Occupational Health and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
    • Maintain emergency preparedness plans (fire drills, evacuation procedures, etc.).
    • Monitor access control and security systems.

    Vendor and Contract Management:

    • Source, negotiate, and manage service contracts for cleaning, security, maintenance, and utilities.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service-level agreements are met.

    Sustainability and Efficiency:

    • Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
    • Monitor utilities consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.

    Starke Ayres: Seed Analyst

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Sampling

    • Sampling of seed lots according to ISTA Rules.

    Screen analysis and defect determination on seed received

    • Obtain the prescribed submitted sample according to the ISTA Rules.
    • Obtain a working sample from the submitted sample using a method prescribed in the ISTA Rules.
    • Do a defect determination.
    • Weigh fractions separately and report.
    • Identify other seed found during the defect determination.
    • Report results on the job card.

    Defect determination and purity analysis on seed presented

    • Stand Obtain the prescribed submitted sample according to the ISTA Rules.
    • Obtain the prescribed working sample, from the submitted sample, according to the ISTA Rules.
    • Do a defect determination and purity analysis.
    • Weigh fractions separately and report the percentages.
    • Identify other seed found during the purity analysis.
    • Complete the purity results on the job card.

    Planting of seed samples

    • Choose the planting method according to the ISTA Rules for the specific species, taking into consideration the current temperature settings of the incubators.
    • In the event that a germination test is not satisfactory an alternative method can be used in consultation with the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor, making it possible to determine the difference in germintion in various media.
    • Report germination on the job card with regard to various planting methods.
    • General supervision of laboratory juniors with regard to the planting of seed samples.
    • The decision to retest should be made in consultation with laboratory superiors.      

    Evaluation of seedlings in a germination test, according to the ISTA rules

    • Do a first count on the germination as prescribed by the ISTA Rules, do intermediate counts if necessary and then a final evaluation as prescribed by ISTA Rules.
    • Seedlings need to be divided into the following categories:
    • normal seedlings
    • abnormal seedlings
    • dead seeds
    • hard seeds
    • fresh seeds
    • The abovementioned needs to be reported as a percentage on the germination card.
    • The decision to retest, in the event that replicates are not in tolerance, should be made in consultation with the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    • Grade 12 with Biology, Science and Maths or applicable experience (essential)
    • Post Matric qualification, e.g. Agricultural Diploma (essential)

    Experience

    Must have passed & completed the following:

    • Seed Science Course
    • Exams in practical seed analysis (agronomy, horticulture & grasses)
    • 3 years experience in seed analysis
    • 11 prescribed unit standards
    • In-house sampling course
    • In-house grading training
    • In-house quality training

    Starke Ayres: Merchandiser

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Product Merchandizing

    • Assist in unpacking and price marking of Company products at specific retailers where required.
    • Ensure that products on display are neatly and attractively arranged and not shop-soiled.
    • Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained.
    • Identifies problems and weaknesses that may be the cause of an inadequate stock turn-over and/or poor sales.

    Promotions

    • Assist in the erection of promotional displays as and when required.
    • Assist the Regional Sales Representative (Retail) during in-store promotions.

    Stock Counts

    • Undertake stock counts at specific retailers as required timeously, prior to replacement orders being taken.
    • Assist in the uplifting of stock during the bi-annual polypacket changeover.

    Public Relations

    • Act responsible and professionally at all times, fostering goodwill and a positive image for the Company.

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (Essential)
    • Code 8 Drivers License (essential)
    • 1-2 years' experience as a merchandiser
