    Assistant Food & Beverage Manager – Dikhololo

    Key Performance Areas:

    Assist the F&B Manager of a large and very busy Resort property with the following:

    • Planning, forecasting and budgeting the revenues and cost for the department.
    • Staffing and scheduling of the employees and allocation of duties to ensure the maximisation of productivity and minimise payroll costs.
    • Creating a work environment that is high in employee morale and provides constant learning and development
    • Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction.
    • Assist with the recruitment and performance appraisal and management of employees in the department.
    • Manage and lead employees to ensure maximum productivity.
    • Work with the outlet chefs in the area of cuisine, menu planning & design for the various outlets / banquets.
    • Ensure through regular monitoring feedback, prompt, efficient and accurate service is provided to all guests.
    • Organise food festivals and develop ideas in conjunction with the public relations staff programs to encourage guest support?
    • Compile and review the monthly profit and loss statement
    • Ensure that all the operational standards set for all the equipment and processes are followed.
    • Maximise F&B profitability by implementing the cost containment strategies for all the outlets.
    • Conduct refresher-training programs for employees and guide the new employees in the department.
    • Revise manager’s duty list to ensure that all areas of reporting and reconciling is covered.
    • Address any grievance and counselling issues among the department associates with all departments and areas including outsourced functions

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Proven F&B Management experience and a history of experience in the Hospitality industry
    • Proven management skills including: Guest & Staff relations and administration, Management of revenue streams, Budgeting and Financial experience
    • Excellent understanding of all aspects of Hospitality Operations
    • Computer literacy skills including : Excel & Word
    • Desire and ability to work in a fairly remote location
    • Ability to work under pressure and without supervision
    • Attention to detail
    • Proven communication skills
    • Ability to work normal hospitality hours including shifts, overtime, working weekends and public holidays
    • Own transport and a valid driver’s license essential.

    Resort Reception – Coral & Canopy/Umhlanga Cabanas

    Key Performance Areas:

    To provide assistance with all Reception / Front Office duties as well as dealing with all resort visitors & guests including but not limited to:

    • Welcoming resort visitors and checking in and out of guests
    • Handling guest queries, requests and complaints and management of guest relations
    • Management of guest accounts including the handling of income & payments of all types, including cash
    • General office administration, telephone, reservations, reception
    • Communication and liaison with external, associated parties

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • 2 – 3 years previous Reception experience in the Hospitality / Service industry
    • Excellent understanding of all aspects of Hospitality Operations
    • Computer literacy skills including: Excel & Word and a knowledge of Hospitality Property Management and or billing systems
    • Excellent administration and interpersonal skills
    • Basic financial management skills including the ability to handle billing and payments including cash transactions

    Assistant General Manager/Food & Beverage Manager – Coral and Canopy/Umhlanga Cabanas

    Key Performance Areas:

    • The following role is required on a large and busy property: Full Management responsibility of a Food & Beverage division as well as fulfilling the role of an Assistant Resort Manager.  
    • Management and Growth of Revenues to exceed budgets, Maximizing of Operational Efficiencies and Strategic objectives- culminating in periodic financial Trading Summaries- all revenue centers;
    • Human Resource Management;
    • Specific HoD Management- Monitoring and control of all Food and Beverage and Convenience Outlets;
    • Maintaining Service Standards in all service and associated property departments;
    • Efficient, effective communication between all stake holders, departments, external property influencers ito governing bodies, outsourced functions and local industry role players/bodies;
    • Manage workplace relations through adherence to the relevant legislation/local bylaws and internal Policies and Procedures;
    • Stay informed about (and implement where possible) -Local, National and International best practices/trends in Hospitality Service departments-Hotels/Resorts/Properties, Interior Design, Technology, Systems and Entertainment;
    • Procurement, Supplier Relationships and Control of property consumable & non consumable stocks and assets including the conducting of regular stock takes and par stock level management;
    • Dealing with guest queries, requests and complaints and management of Guest Relations- thereby driving competition comparable and market related Customer Satisfaction online and manual surveys ratings;
    • Supporting the Resort Manager. The role requires that the incumbent oversees the execution of the entire resort operation and ensures the smooth running of the resort when required and in the absence of OR in conjunction with the Resort Manager.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Proven F&B/Resort Management/Hospitality experience
    • 3-5 years’ Experience in a similar Resort role including : Guest & Staff relations and Administration, Management of revenue streams (Inclusive of Timeshare), Budgeting and Operational Financial Management experience
    • Excellent understanding of all aspects of Hospitality Operations
    • Computer literacy skills including : Microsoft programs, Point of Sale systems (GAAP experience would be preferential), Property and Revenue Management Systems

    Key Competencies and Personal Attributes:

    • Desire and ability to work in a fairly remote location
    • Ability to work under pressure and without supervision
    • Attention to detail
    • Proven communication skills
    • Ability to work normal hospitality hours including shifts, overtime, working weekends and public holidays

    Handyman – Cayley Lodge & Mountain Resort

    Key Performance Areas:

    • The position is supporting the Maintenance Manager in all aspects of the technical / mechanical / grounds side of the resort functions.  The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Air conditioning units of the resort including all refrigeration units. Must be prepared to work a 6-day week, shifts, public holidays week-ends and overtime. Will be required to manage staff and liaise with Service providers to achieve desired standard.

    Housekeeping Supervisor – Coral & Canopy/Umhlanga Cabanas

    • We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Resorts team. The successful candidate will supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, maintain high housekeeping standards, allocate and monitor daily duties, and oversee stock control and stocktakes. The role will also provide support to Reception with cash handling, receipts and general administration, as well as staff appraisals and employee matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safekeeping of company assets and ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with company standards and management instructions.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • 3–5 years’ experience in Housekeeping, preferably within a hotel, resort or hospitality environment.
    • Previous experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor or senior housekeeping role will be an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations.
    • Experience supervising and managing a housekeeping team.

    Laundry Supervisor – Coral & Canopy/Umhlanga Cabanas

    • We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Laundry Supervisor to join our Resorts team. The successful candidate will oversee the daily laundry operation, ensuring that all resort linen is washed, dried and ironed to the required company standards and that sufficient clean linen is available to support the housekeeping team.
    • This role requires a reliable, organised and detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and linen care.

    Key Responsibility:

    • Supervise and manage the daily laundry operation.
    • Ensure sufficient washing and ironing is completed each day to meet housekeeping requirements.
    • Maintain and monitor linen and laundry stock levels.
    • Ensure linen is cleaned, treated and prepared to the required standard, including effective stain removal.
    • Inspect linen and soft furnishings and report damaged items to management.
    • Ensure laundry areas, storerooms and staff facilities are kept clean, tidy and hygienic.
    • Operate laundry equipment correctly and safely and report any faults or maintenance issues immediately.
    • Ensure laundry equipment and relevant safety equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
    • Use laundry chemicals correctly and in accordance with company specifications.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • 3–5 years’ experience in a laundry environment, preferably within a hotel, resort or hospitality environment.
    • Previous supervisory or team leader experience will be an advantage.
    • Good knowledge of commercial laundry operations and linen care.
    • Experience operating commercial laundry equipment.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
    • Good organisational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Reliable, hardworking and willing to be hands-on.
    • Ability to work flexible hospitality hours, including weekends and public holidays.
    • Proficiency in both English and isiZulu is essential.
