    Sales Development Representative (SDR) B2B Saas Sales

    The Role

    SDRs are the tip of the spear when it comes to developing new business opportunities for Fospha. Working within the sales team, they are responsible for researching and contacting potential clients in order to engage with prospects and understand if there is a qualified sales opportunity.

    SDRs are pivotal to the success of the company and interact with Marketing, Sales, Client Success and Product in order to build compelling stories and reasons for the prospects to engage with Fospha and are targeted on organising sales calls for Account Executives to begin the sales process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Find and research new prospects that fit our idea-customer-profile
    • Contact potential prospects through LinkedIn, cold calls and email campaigns
    • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and Account Executives
    • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services
    • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
    • Report to the Head of Growth on activity and results

    Professional Requirements

    • Proven work experience as a Sales Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
    • Hands-on experience with multiple sales prospecting techniques like cold calling, cold emailing and social outreach.
    • Track record of achieving sales quotas
    • Experience working with a CRM
    • Fair understanding of sales performance metrics
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

    THE ROLE

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the Finance Director, your role will be fundamental to the successful development and growth of one of our portfolio ventures, and with that will encompass responsibilities that include, but are not limited to the list below.

    • Supporting the CFO and wider management team in executing ambitious plans and supporting strategic decisions based on financial data and insight.
    • You will run end-to-end finance including financial reporting, regulatory reporting, cash management, financial systems, FP&A and MI.
    • You will implement and ensure best-in-class frameworks and practices around compliance and accounting.
    • You will interact with external stakeholders including shareholders, auditors, banks, professional advisors, and suppliers.

    Professional Qualifications

    • Qualified accountant (+6 years PQE)
    • Experience as a Finance Director or Manager supporting and driving growth of businesses from start-up to scale-up stages.
    • You will have proven success serving as a true business partner to senior executive teams.
    • Financial services / lending business accounting practices would be advantageous.
    • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate and drive growth, and have the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
    • You will possess the business acumen and broad financial perspective to act as an advisor to management and senior leadership
    • You will have a demonstrable track record of overseeing both accounting and financial planning & analysis functions.

    THE ROLE

    Key Responsibilities

    We are looking for someone to take on the role of Management Accountant, a new and exciting opening in our brand-new South Africa office. The successful applicant will be part of a dedicated team working across early-stage ventures to provide them with a complete Finance function.

    Specific duties

    The Duties Of The Role Include

    • Working across a number of different portfolio companies
    • Overseeing and liaising with Finance shared service colleagues in India
    • Oversight across all finance areas: invoicing, procure to pay, employee expenses, payroll, management accounting, VAT calculations, credit control, corporation tax calculations, monthly commentaries, cashflow reporting and statutory reporting.
    • Overseeing the activities of a deployed finance team
    • Involvement with external advisors in the preparation of financial statements
    • Liaising with internal and external specialists on HMRC RnD tax claims
    • Ensuring that work undertaken by the deployed team is accurate
    • Identifying and executing efficiencies in the regular weekly and monthly tasks
    • opportunity to get involved with financial reporting and forecasting of some exciting incubation companies
    • Conversations with senior stakeholders in the businesses
    • Additional ad hoc tasks

    About You

    It is essential that the successful applicant is comfortable delivering simultaneous solutions to several ventures and be able to mentally flick between the demands of each one. Excellent communication skills are crucial to being successful in this role where a significant number of daily interactions using phone or VC capability. The successful candidate may also be required to travel between UK offices for up to 8 days a month.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) 2+ PQE
    • Ability to take complex financial information and produce intuitive reports or presentations to non-financial people
    • A willingness to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in to diagnose and resolve an issue
    • Quick learner with a desire to put themselves outside their comfort zone
    • An effective communicator with remote teams and colleagues of varying seniority
    • Mental agility to juggle work with different ventures
    • A right first-time attitude
    • Always striving to improve processes and ensure they meet stakeholder needs
    • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
    • Xero experience would be advantageous
