    Inventory Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    • To plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the inventory team, providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development. 
    • Responsibility for maintaining and managing inventory integrity. Responsibility for managing and minimising DHL's contractual stock loss liabilities.

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    •  Ensure accurate control of inventory up to and beyond the KPI levels expected by the customer and DHL
    • Plan and manage all stock counts and audits of inventory
    • Manage and motivate inventory team - ensure adequate inventory team cover available across all operational shifts
    • Put in place procedures to monitor and minimise stock losses
    • Develop & maintain effective inventory process, incorporating warehouse management systems
    • Monitor all stock movements within warehouse and ensure report on issues 
    • Constant communication with operational team
    • Train team members to ensure that inventory control procedures are fully implemented
    • Implement procedures to maintain cycle counting and perpetual inventory
    • Understand DHL's stock loss contractual liability and ensure any potential risk is effectively mitigated
    • Produce timely and accurate management information & reports as required
    • Manage and motivate inventory team - ensure adequate inventory team cover available across all operational shifts
    • Control of team budgeted hours and costs
    • Create and publish Standard Operating Procedures
    • Attend customer meetings as required
    • Contribute to site continuous improvement agenda
    • Submitting monthly inventory information accurately and timeously to meet deadlines
    • Management of damages and stock losses within warehouse
    • Control of all inventory related matters within parameters of location
    • Recruitment and handling of Industrial Relations in line with HR policy as well as scheduling of inventory team
    • To ensure stock that is damaged or due to expire is removed from the cages / orders
    • Conform and promote awareness to staff on ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements associated with the QMS.

    Skills/Experience

    • Experience of working within budgetary constraints

    • Person should know what products are handled by the Company
    • Person should be able to enforce health and safety procedures and identify hazards
    • knowledge of clients requirements and customer needs
    • 3-5 years experience of working in inventory environment
    • Knowledge of logistics market trends, opportunities and challenges
    • Commercial breadth, i.e. general management experience
    • Strategic tools/techniques approaches and strategy determination

    Inventory Clerk x2

    Job Purpose

    • To accurately check all incoming and outgoing stock against documentation, identify any short or over picked stock, record and report stock discrepancies and ensure stock is secure for transportation. The effective management of inventory received, stored and dispatched to ensure OTIF delivery of quality products. Maintain Stock integrity within the warehouse and reconcile all stock differences so as to minimize loss to the company. To ensure the procedures pertaining to all functions within the Stock Control Department is carried out with the utmost professionalism to ensure a smooth transition between principals and the Company. To continuously strive to improve the Physical Inventory process                                                 

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly the level of short picks and short ships and take corrective action.        
    • Managing of Block Stock                                 
    • Reconcile stock write-offs to all 999 write off locations on a daily basis. Investigate daily stock discrepancies and maintain stock integrity through process of adjustments following authority levels.
    • Investigate, give feedback and resolve appropriately all stock quality issues as identified by the client.        
    •  Set-up and maintain system storage locations so as to optimize stock and operational requirements.        
    • Execute stock write-off daily in agreed format                                
    • Independently check and reconcile all receipts as to stock received per tally sheet and receiving document. Check input captured as to pack, quantity, production/expiry date.                            
    • Reports all issues and problems to the respective Inventory Lead                         
    • Liaise with planning to resolve stock issues"                                
    • Ensure optimal stock availability and stock rotation"                                
    • Consistently achieve established key performance indicators for productivity, accuracy and housekeeping.    
    • Adherence to Health & Safety rules.                                
    •  Participate and assist in inventory counts as prescribed in company policies and procedures"            
    • Assist with issuing and receiving of primary and secondary distribution shipments on the system when required    
    • Manage stock movements and documentation in accordance with the ICC and Internal/External Audit controls
    • Ensure that stacking heights are maintained, Ensure FIFO principle is applied to stock movements        
    • Check that all Inter-depot Movement Notes are correct and complete                        
    • Adherence to stock age policy, ensure that all concessions are raised and approved"            
    • Assist in administering the execution of the product recall process at site level"                
    • Check that all Secondary Distribution shipment packs are correct and completed"                
    • Maintain highest possible level of customer service (Internal and External)"                
    • Always wear the company uniform with pride, ensuring that the uniform is clean and presentable        
    • Timeous and accurate completion of tasks                                
    • Report any persons behaviour that may impact on the safety, quality or integrity of the stored product    
    • Ensure the product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised.

    National Customer Manager

    • Responsible to manage and develop the assigned National Channel sales territory in order to maintain and grow the DHL market leadership position.

    What you’ll own

    • Ensure to visit all clients in respective base within the 30-day call cycle
    • Build revenue streams with current customers and evaluate opportunities to increase the relationship through face-to-face visits, problem solving and administrative follow-up
    • New business potential is also to be investigated at all existing clients during visits
    • Ensure to plan and perform 3 client visits per day, existing of maintenance visits, development visits and acquisition visits
    • Ensure that the daily client visits are planned and scheduled a week in advance as far as reasonably possible
    • Ensure to obtaining First Time Buyers (FTBs) on a regular basis in order to grow revenue
    • Continuously uncover opportunities for new business within assigned territory by cultivating leads and utilising your network
    • Develop and implement an approach to secure major account customers (prospects) in the shortest time possible
    • Ensure that the % loss of customers per month remain as low as possible, but never exceed 5%
    • Pro-actively identify any risks to customer relationships and / or SPD figures and intervene accordingly to eliminate potential loss of revenue
    • Responsible to manage customer concerns or complaints timeously and in accordance to DHL procedures in order to limit potential loss of customers
    • Ensure effective pipeline management by upholding a pipeline strength of 40% (of total portfolio revenue) at all times
    • Responsible for growing the Shipments Per Day (SPD) figures according to local / country objectives
    • Responsible to strategically plan and execute best practice (in terms of sales) in order to continuously grow revenue with the respective territory
    • Collaborate with Sales, Finance and Operations teams to maximise sales and revenue growth within territory
    • Ensure that daily updates regarding client visits, client information, sales activity and any other required data are captured using the applicable CRM tools
    • To assist with any other functions outside of the job description to ensure that the Sales Department runs effectively and efficiently according to network standards as required.

    What we are looking for

    • National Diploma/ Degree/ Post graduate qualification in a relevant field
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in field sales
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Previous courier experience advantageous.
