    Sales Executive: KZN

    About the role: 

    • Roles in this job family work to sales performance targets. They are typically selling to and supporting customers who sell directly to the consumers or resellers/third party partners who sell directly to the customers within a given territory. Sales can occur in a wide range of settings including premium venues, and therefore some roles within this job family require a curated knowledge or Diageo’s most prestigious reserve brands portfolio.

    Role Responsibilities:

    Compliance and Control Specialist

    About the role: 

    • The role is accountable for ensuring that the Diageo Office Complex, Diageo employees and Depots are compliant to local legislation and/or equivalent LTO codes of practice.
    • The role is also accountable to ensure the protection of Diageo People, Assets and Environment, leading to delivering a “Zero Harm” culture and guarantee SHE standards.
    • Provide specialist knowledge and advise in Health, Safety and Environmental, Security and Business Risks
    • Lead the compliance and governance agenda for the Logistics function end to end.

    Role Responsibilities: 

    • Ensure compliance & support to Diageo’s CARM Control framework within Supply, particularly Distribution.
    • Implement & Facilitate Effective Simulation Procedures e.g. Product recall
    • Implement LTO Emergency Response system
    • Provide support to the Local Crises Team
    • Provide Induction and refresher training, Process Training and co-ordinate mandatory training requirements for staff, visitors and contractors
    • Audit facilities and systems according to LTO Audit Guidelines
    • Maintain all Safety/Security related schedules and Action Plans
    • Audits
    • Inspections
    • Risk Assessments
    • Training
    • Maintain Minutes and follow up actions of Safety Committees  Support Incident Investigation including root cause analyses and implementation of preventative measures ,
    • Maintain Incident and CIRC (prevention & Compliance System)  Registers
    • Maintenance, compilation and trending of relevant documentation.
    • Registers
    • Monthly reports /KPI’s
    • Safety Training Schedules
    • Lead the Logistics Governance agenda
    • Support HR with Mandatory COID (Workman’s Compensation)processes
    • Support 3rd Party Logistics partners across the regions with implementation & compliance to OHSA requirements

    Experience / skills required: 

    • Previous experience shall include administration, implementation and maintenance of a SHE System.
    • Diploma in Health & Safety Management
    • SHEMTRAC (Old SAMTRAC)
    • Internal Auditing
    • Fire and First Aid Training
    • Strong Functional/Technical Knowledge in the areas of Occupational Health, Safety and environmental Legislation and standards 
    • Proven ability in the implementation, maintenance and administration of management systems which will minimize SHE Risks
    • Skilled in the normal business software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other PC Based systems
    • Effective incident investigation  & problem solving skills
    • Energetic & driven to perform at the highest capabilities
    • Good communicator – able to communicate with all levels of staff, standards and legislative organizations.
    • Demonstrates assertiveness to maintain high standards, capable of challenging others and comfortable with being challenged.
    • Exhibits appropriate Behaviour in line with Diageo Values at all times.
    • Displays high level of integrity and openness, generates trust and confidence when dealing with people
    • Able to cope with high levels of demand
