    Commercial Internal Account Manager

    MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    • The Commercial Internal Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing reseller relationships, driving revenue growth across allocated commercial accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role supports the external sales team through proactive account management, sales administration, opportunity management, and effective partner engagement to achieve business objectives.

    Commercial Internal Account Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities
    Customer Success & Account Management

    • Regular telephonic contact with all partners
    • Assists and backs up account managers on a certain task.
    • Call partners to discuss current Brand activities and create brand awareness.
    • Influences customers to buy products by following a prepared sales talk to give service and product information.
    • Complete spreadsheets by recording names, addresses, dates called, and comments.
    • Quotes should be sent to partners within a 2-hour SLA.
    • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; and reporting needed changes.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Sales Certifications are to be done and maintained on the Dell brand.
    • Completing all Spiv & Campaign requirements on the given deadlines
    • Weekly KPI feedback sessions that include feedback on customer engagements, pipeline, quotes generated, closed and lost deals, e-mails sent, etc. 200 calls per month.
    • Attend training sessions when requested
    • Driving revenue targets through allocated accounts and Dell product sets in commercial accounts.
    • Driving resellers to enable the expansion of the FD Hardware brand portfolio within existing and potential new accounts.
    • Deliver first-class customer service.
    • Regular follow-ups on all Dell quotes and opportunities

    Sales Administration

    • Ensure client mailing list details are updated at all times.
    • Request and evaluate quotes for submission internally.
    • Follow up and validate quotes.
    • Follow up on operations responses.
    • Manage SLA with brand operations.
    • Ensure CRM is always up to date and maintain CRM hygiene.

    REQUIREMENTS
    Internal training associated with competencies:

    • During the first week of your employment, you'll be presented with a meticulously crafted learning map designed to seamlessly guide you through your on-the-job training experience.

    Minimum Qualifications :

    • Grade 12
    • 2-3 years of internal Account Management experience.
    • Previous IT experience.
    • IT distribution experience.
    • Understand the reseller partner eco system.

    Ability to meet Job Requirements:

    • Fluent in English.
    • Own reliable transport.
    • Technical understanding of end user devices (Notebooks, Desktops, monitors) and the ability to do their own builds based on customer requests.

    Office Requirements:

    • Office-based working environment.
    • Semi-formal dress code.
    • Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00.
    • Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal.
    • Reliable transport to and from the office.

    Senior Cloud Account Manager

    MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    • To promote FD’s Cloud and Hosting solutions to an assigned base of resellers. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth across a balanced portfolio of Cloud and Hosting brands, while building strong reseller relationships and demonstrating a solid understanding of First Distribution’s full business offering.

    Senior Cloud Account Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Sales and Account Management

    • Sell Cloud solutions and services to assigned reseller partners
    • Drive monthly GP targets across allocated accounts
    • Develop reseller business through sales execution, business development, and knowledge transfer of Cloud offerings.
    • Recruit, onboard, and enable new resellers
    • Expand product adoption within existing reseller accounts
    • Develop and support reseller business and marketing strategies to grow FD’s Cloud and Hosting brand portfolio (Existing and new targeted accounts).
    • Maintain a strong understanding of reseller strategies, programs, and full product portfolios – understand your customer needs.
    • Ensure all required sales certifications are current and maintained across relevant brands and as per business requirements.
    • Conduct bi-weekly business review sessions with Brand and Pre-Sales teams.
    • Provide weekly pipeline updates, including deal probability and forecasting.
    • Accurately capture and manage opportunities in the CRM system
    • Report on KPIs, targets, pipeline creation, and deal progression to the Sales Manager on a bi-weekly basis
    • Track partner activities, forecast performance, and provide feedback on brand success
    • Communicate vendor and brand updates effectively to resellers
    • Attend bi-weekly brand planning, pipeline, and update sessions
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key resellers, Brand teams, and Presales teams.
    • Act as the central point of contact for reseller participation in vendor programs, incentives, and rebates, in collaboration with the Brand Manager.
    • Ensure effective execution of reseller business plans
    • Conduct 2–3 reseller meetings per day
    • Attending vendor conferences and industry events
    • Consistently demonstrate sales growth and achievement of targets
    • Report any deviations from targets with clear explanations and action plans

    Marketing Management

    • Participate in marketing planning sessions with the Brand Manager and Marketing Team
    • Support and drive initiatives for top reseller partners.
    • Encourage reseller participation in FD-hosted events, campaigns, and initiatives

    People Management

    • Manage reseller expectations by coordinating with Operations, Brand, and Pre-Sales teams.
    • Attend vendor training to become self-sufficient in the sales of assigned products and solutions.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Internal training associated with competencies:

    Requirements :

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Information Technology or a relevant business qualification would be advantageous
    • 3-5 years’ experience in IT sales or external account management.
    • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and consumption-based sales models.
    • AWS and/or Microsoft Cloud certifications would be advantageous
    • Experience working with CRM systems for pipeline and opportunity management
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency, including the ability to manage sales pipelines, use formulas, apply filters, and create PivotTables and basic reports for forecasting and performance tracking

    Cybersecurity Product Manager

    MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    • To manage the daily running of the assigned brand/s.
    • To continuously strive to grow the success of the assigned brands within First Distribution and be closely involved in all areas related to the brand from a sales and operational perspective.

    Cybersecurity Product Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities.

    Sales

    • Driving Gross Profit targets through Resellers.
    • Selling First Distribution’s product portfolio within existing Resellers.
    • Recruitment of new Resellers.
    • Display key competencies of product knowledge and brand programs across the relevant portfolio of products.
    • Bi-weekly sales review with Line Manager.
    • Drive targeted partner development planning.
    • Drive Sales Strategy and overview sessions with resellers.
    • On-boarding processes within accounts: operational, sales, and technical processes.
    • Build and manage effective relationships with relevant team members and resellers.
    • Ensure the satisfactory execution of the aligned business plan in conjunction with your Line Manager and Brand Managers.
    • Demonstrate sales growth.
    • Demonstrate the ability to Identify and Qualify new deals and partners to sustain the required levels of pipeline and target coverage
    • Report opportunity details to the Line Manager and brand managers regularly (weekly) showing deal progression and pipeline creation using the Customer Relationship Management system.
    • Ensure that sales targets are achieved and report any deviations with detailed explanations.

    • Driving Vendor Strategy and portfolio within existing and new targeted accounts.
    • Understand Vendor strategy, programs, and complete portfolio of products
    • Run Quarterly Business Review Sessions with the vendor
    • Partner recruitment and Development – Operational processes
    • Build and manage relationship with Vendors team members
    • Understand in detail the vendor's rebate programs and ensure alignment to maximize rebate attainment.
    • Report opportunity details to the Vendor regularly (as required by the vendor) showing deal progression and pipeline creation using the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
    • Ensure that sales targets are achieved and report any deviations with detailed reasoning
    • Management of the brand budget and P&L.
    • Balance the income statement and any General Ledger accounts assigned to the brand at least monthly.
    • Manage any stock and ensure optimal stock is purchased and avoid stock aging.
    • All Warehousing and Logistics associated with assigned brand/s
    • Control the operating profit of the brand in accordance with the budget.
    • Pipeline management using CRM – ensure accuracy is always maintained
    • Manage pricing and margins to maximise profitability.
    • Ensure the accuracy of product codes and pricing
    • Remain updated with product changes and required training certifications.
    • Ensure all staff who require training are trained and all certifications are maintained.

    Marketing Management

    • Conducted marketing planning sessions and took accountability for the marketing plan.
    • Work with both EMMC and Vendor Marketing teams to ensure the effectiveness of all Marketing activity.
    • Partner Enablement (Target, Certifications, growth)
    • Develop a Business Development Plan that documents the key sales & marketing strategies and a management system that measures performance and success.
    • Align marketing activities in each region appropriately
    • Work on growing market share
    • Understand the competitive landscape and develop strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
    • Ensure customer enablement is run frequently, and customers are always updated with the latest from the vendor.

    People Management

    • Manage the Sales Specialists and ensure they are performing their role according to defined KPI’s targets etc.
    • Ensure Sales processes are managed end-to-end by all sales staff representing your brand/s.
    • Take accountability for the skills/knowledge of all back-office functions and processes including but not limited to: Internal Sales Support, Pre-sales, Procurement, and Logistics

    • Experience in business/commercial management (budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, product pricing)
