    Key Account Manager: Transactional Solutions - Polokwane

    About the Role

    • The position requires an experienced and driven salesperson with expertise in software sales. The Salesperson is responsible for driving new, up- and cross sales across LexisNexis solutions lines.
    • The Salesperson’s main accountabilities will be too pro-actively prospect, qualify and close new, up- and cross sell sales opportunities. The role works in close partnership with internal and external partners to proactively drive growth.

    Legal Analyst

    About the Role

    • In this role, you will create, edit, and maintain Practical Guidance content covering legal and regulatory developments across multiple Gulf jurisdictions. You’ll shape user-friendly resources that meet high editorial standards for accuracy and clarity, working closely with authors and internal stakeholders to deliver timely updates and new content.

    Responsibilities

    • Edit and review a broad range of legal material (Practice Notes, Legislative Insights, Precedents, Checklists, Guides, Toolkits, and more) to ensure accuracy and alignment with LexisNexis editorial standards
    • Update, enhance, and commission user-friendly, high-value online and print content, including amending outdated Practical Guidance material
    • Oversee the quality of external contributions, providing feedback and ensuring compliance with editorial standards
    • Monitor and incorporate new legal developments, regulatory changes, and emerging industry trends across the Middle East, including multiple Gulf jurisdictions
    • Conduct in-depth legal research to develop comprehensive, reliable editorial content across diverse subjects in the region
    • Collaborate with other legal editors to meet shared content quality and quantity targets
    • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics for Practical Guidance to track progress against targets
    • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and editorial workflows across several jurisdictions while partnering across departments on content strategies that drive engagement and retention

    Requirements

    • Excellent English writing and editing skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Strong legal knowledge and the ability to interpret, research, and explain laws, regulations, and guidance (through legal qualification or equivalent practical experience)
    • Demonstrated legal practice experience as a lawyer or law clerk is highly preferred
    • Demonstrated editing or publishing experience is highly preferred
    • Ability to monitor and respond to legal and regulatory change across multiple jurisdictions, including Gulf jurisdictions

    UK Analytical Editorial Operations Manager

    About the Role

    • In this role, you will lead a South Africa-based editorial operations team responsible for delivering core UK analytical content and strategic initiatives at scale and pace. This is a delivery-focused managerial role, accountable for operational performance, efficiency, and quality across live, deadline-driven editorial workflows. You will work closely with UK and global stakeholders to meet defined commercial and delivery objectives, balancing quality, timeliness, capacity, and risk in a globally integrated operating environment.
    • The role reports to the Head of UK Analytical Editorial Operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and develop a South Africa–based editorial team delivering high-quality analytical content for Legal and Tax Markets portfolios and exam materials for Tolley Learning Academy, in line with agreed quality standards and delivery commitments.
    • Own end-to-end operational delivery, including production scheduling, workload and capacity planning, and execution against defined timelines, service levels, and business commitments.
    • Set clear performance expectations and manage delivery metrics, tracking productivity, throughput, quality, and risk via dashboards, and taking timely corrective action where standards or delivery are at risk.
    • Make informed trade-offs across quality, timeliness, capacity, and risk to ensure predictable, reliable delivery in a dynamic and demand-driven environment.
    • Drive continuous optimisation of digital and print editorial workflows, with a strong focus on simplification, scalability, repeatability, and sustainable ways of working.
    • Guide the effective and responsible use of technology, automation, and generative AI to improve efficiency and reliability, applying appropriate judgement, sequencing, and governance guardrails.
    • Build a flexible, cross-trained, and resilient team, capable of responding to changing priorities and production peaks, supported by regular coaching, performance management, and fair, timely handling of underperformance.
    • Operate as a collaborative enterprise partner, fostering a globally integrated team culture, working closely with the UK-based Analytical Editorial Operations Manager, and partnering with commercial, HR, recruitment, global operations, and technology stakeholders to deliver aligned outcomes.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years’ people-management experience preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with project-management approaches (agile or waterfall); XML knowledge desirable.
    • Based in South Africa, with experience in publishing, content, or editorial operations highly desirable.
    • Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to work constructively across global, cross-functional teams while balancing team advocacy and organisational alignment.
    • Sound operational and organisational judgement, including effective prioritisation, deadline management, planning, and proactive stakeholder communication.
    • Business, commercial, and analytical acumen, with confidence using data, metrics, and performance reporting to support decision-making.
