    Materials Controller - Griekwastad

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Supply Chain Management, or a related field

    Experience & Skills Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position in materials management in the mining / mineral processing industry
    • Knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory management
    • English language proficiency
    • Time management skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Computer literate in MS Office
    • Supervisory skills

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Comply with all relevant Minopex SHEQ Management systems and procedures.
    • Implement and adhere to Procurement policies, procedures and standards.
    • Monitor stock levels to ensure timeous replenishment of inventory in support of production and maintenance requirements.
    • Review and updating of inventory reorder points and replenishment quantities for optimal inventory investment.
    • Assist with RFQ adjudication according to site requirements.
    • Assist with Site Demand Forecasting.
    • Control stock profile classification according to equipment information and site requirements.
    • Raising of strategic commodity purchase orders according to production and maintenance requirements.
    • Preview product catalogues, trade journals and publications in order to maintain updated and sufficient technical knowledge of the goods and services to be purchased.
    • Plan and co-ordinate the section's workload and set and adjust individual objectives.
    • Over-inspect subordinates in their daily activities to ensure procurement according to organizational and client standards.
    • Recommend and incorporate cost saving initiatives into budgets and control expenditure within approved parameters.

    Engineering Supervisor - Instrumentation

    Qualification Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED courses (e.g., N3 Certificate)
    • Valid Section 13 / Section 26 (D) Trade Test Certificate required
    • Relevant Engineering Diploma will be an added advantage
    • Valid driver’s licence code B, EB or C1
    • Own transport to attend to call outs

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Instrumentation maintenance with at least 3 - 4 years’ supervisory experience
    • Experience on a concentrator plant
    • Maintenance of Crushers, Sag and Ball Mills will be advantageous
    • Experience in PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider) including programming
    • Experience in AScii installations
    • Experience on VSDs
    • Experience in simocodes
    • Knowledge of belt scale calibration and maintenance; actuated control valves; magnetic flow meters and different types of level control instruments
    • English language proficiency
    • Time management skills
    • Employee Relations experience
    • Supervisory experience
    • Finance for non-financial managers experience will be an advantage
    • Computer literate in MS Office
    • Relevant planned maintenance system knowledge
    • Valid driver’s licence code B, EB or C1
    • Own transport to attend to call outs
    • Relevant planned maintenance system training

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Investigate, diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements and order spares according to Company procedures.
    • Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and analyse breakdowns of the previous shift.
    • Over-inspect subordinates in their daily activities to ensure that maintenance is done according to organisational standards requirements.
    • Coordinate and monitor equipment availability to ensure adherence to production parameters.
    • Continuously analyse equipment efficiencies to recommend or implement improvements and changes to maximise operations.
    • Communicate equipment information and changes to relevant stakeholders to minimise production delays.
    • Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion.
    • Attend to breakdowns immediately to minimize downtime.
    • Determine work schedules in conjunction with other Engineering / Process teams to ensure availability and optimal utilisation of equipment to the relevant sections and consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect production.
    • Support the achievement of production and maintenance performance levels.
    • Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability, budget compliance and spares availability
    • Planning and coordination of shutdowns
    • Liaise with equipment / spares suppliers
