Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with engineers and other departments in the company.
• Create detailed mechanical drawings and designs using SolidWorks, including Manufacturing Drawings, QC drawings, General Assembly Drawings, Exploded View and Sectional Assembly Drawings, with a focus on General Assembly drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine mechanical components and systems.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and modifications.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
• Support the prototyping and testing of new designs.
• Comply with engineering and draughting best practices.
• Conform to PDM (Product Data Management) and Product Lifecycle Management systems and controls.
• Adhere to filing structure and part numbering system.
• Create part numbers and manage BOMs (Bill of Materials) on the company’s ERP system.
• Willing to work additional hours if required.

Time Management:

• Design: 20%
• Product Support: 5%
• BOMs and ERP Management: 20%
• Quality Product Checks: 5%
• General Drawings (GA’s, Sectional Views, and Exploded Views): 50%

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant SolidWorks experience. Please DO NOT APPLY if you do not fulfil this requirement.
• 2 years of experience working with large EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), Project Management, and Engineering Consulting Houses is advantageous.
• 1 year of mineral processing site experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the design process (PLM or PDM) and creating bill of materials.

Good knowledge of draughting standards and manufacturing processes, with an advanced understanding of:

• Limits and fits
• Geometric tolerancing
• Welding standards and symbols
• Sheet metal cutting (Laser, Flame, Plasma)
• Sheet metal bending
• Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Syspro).
• High level of self-awareness.
• High level of neatness, very orderly, and able to work with minimal supervision while achieving KPIs as required.
• Must have own transport.
• No EE (Employment Equity) requirements for the role.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks is compulsory; candidates without this skill will not be considered.
• High degree of self-awareness and ability to work effectively in a team.

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role located in Emalahleni for a Mechanical fitter at Pump & Abrasion Technologies.
• The fitter will be responsible for installations, maintenance and monitoring various pumps to ultimately deliver unrivaled service, maintaining equipment, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring quality control of manufactured parts.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating machining equipment and tools
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Qualified fitter with a strong background in slurry pump applications
• Problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
• Trade certification essential

Key Responsibilities

Retail Operations & Store Support

• Oversee daily store operations across all Johannesburg and surrounding locations.
• Ensure store teams have the stock, tools, and information they need to deliver on sales and customer experience.
• Monitor store performance and work with managers to improve efficiency and drive results.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

• Oversee stock movement from warehouse to stores, ensuring accurate replenishment and transfers.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify gaps, and coordinate replenishment schedules.
• Manage product flow during launches, promotions, and seasonal changes.

Warehouse & Logistics

• Supervise Johannesburg warehouse operations to ensure accurate receiving, storage, and dispatching of stock.
• Implement best practices for stock control, shrinkage prevention, and space optimisation.
• Manage logistics partners and ensure on-time delivery to stores and customers.

Process & Systems Management

• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational standards.
• Work closely with Head Office, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and product rollouts.

People Leadership

• Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse and retail operations staff.
• Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and training sessions.
• Build a culture of accountability, efficiency, and teamwork.

Skills & Experience

Required:

• 5+ years of retail operations or supply chain management experience (multi-store preferred).
• Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams.
• Solid understanding of inventory management and retail logistics.
• Highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing retail environment.
• Proficient in retail POS systems (Shopify experience a plus) and Excel/Google Sheets.

Preferred:

• Experience in apparel, footwear, or lifestyle retail.
• Knowledge of local manufacturing processes and supply chains.
• Exposure to both retail store management and warehouse operations.
