    Foreman

    Purpose of Job

    • To oversee the engineering maintenance processes within the appointed area of responsibility to enable various mining teams to reach production targets within the principles of QCDSM

    Key Accountabilities

    • Manage and carry out engineering and maintenance strategies and overhaul plans on a day to day basis that ensure that departments KPI's are met deliver maintenance, if and when to replace / repair equipment.
    • Manage maintenance cost vs R/t in appointed area Maintenance budget.
    • Ensure availability of equipment by effectively managing downtime / shift / MTTF / MTTR (infrastructure and inspection equipment).
    • Ensure adherence to maintenance programme.
    • Implements operational projects, ensures engineering compliance, develops and implements engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOP in appointed area of responsibility.
    • Ensures adherence to Engineering principles and legislation.
    • Compliance to engineering governance bodies (standardisation committees) SOP / COP implementation and adherence.
    • Assess economics / engineering viability of no major engineering business cases and provides specific, inspection expertise and coaching.
    • Manage delivery against OE initiatives.
    • Carry out condition monitoring programs in appointed area of responsibility. Compliance to Condition monitoring program schedules.
    • Conduct failure trend analysis and root cause elimination.
    • Execution of Predictive Maintenance recommendations (backlog).
    • Support departments to achieve set targets by coordinating planning within appointed area of responsibility.
    • Control costs to ensure production volumes are achieved within budget.
    • Ensure best in class safety performance and continuous improvement of key safety metrics to maintain required RCR.
    • Ensure SHE compliance rates vs. targets (especially major findings, % outstanding actions on findings) Zero harm, Zero fatalities, LWDCR.
    • Ensure the effective recruitment, training, coaching and career development.
    • Manage vacancy rates against staff establishment (vacancies incl. Absence due to TSD / PSD, AWOP, Successors for critical positions).
    • Manage team bearing in mind key role turnover rate vs. industry average, absenteeism, employee engagement and enablement score (%, Tons/man/year, Monthly bonus targets) training days for department.
    • Planned Task observations.

    Formal Education

    • National Senior Certificate / N3 with Mathematics, Physical / Engineering Science and English/Business English

    Manager Property Growth and Sustain

    Purpose of Job

    • This role is responsible for the ongoing management and optimization of Sasol’s existing portfolio of service stations in line with the business strategy. Proactively securing the renewal of contracts for existing service stations with property owners and development and management of a healthy NTI/NTB pipeline, including a strong landbank portfolio. The role requires researching, appraising, negotiating, economic evaluation and presentation of proposals to Sasol’s management team. inclusive of managing the Capital required for execution. The role needs to provide leadership for up to six Property Developers.

    Key Accountabilities

    • To proactively secure Sasol’s existing network of service stations profitably through negotiations with property owners.
    • Maximize opportunities in the existing network through monitoring, managing and reviewing the performance and profitability and conducting timely renewal of contracts.
    • Identifying and securing new service station opportunities when required. Adherence to and implementation of company policies and procedures whilst executing these
    • To monitor ongoing property market changes and competitors’ networks within the assigned area of responsibility to inform negotiation tactics with property owners and anticipate changes.
    • Own and maintain relationship with property owners through the contract renewal process. Understanding the issues and finding solutions to improve and grow the relationship with property owners and other key influences in the retail property development arena.
    • Systematic management of contract renewals from appraisal to completion.
    • Preparing and presenting proposals and business cases to internal stakeholders using the established templates and models with timely submission for sign-off.
    • Ability to package and sell the Sasol offer which includes Convenience, Fuel quality, Design, Brand, Marketing campaigns and Loyalty programs
    • Lead commercially sound investment proposals for all projects in the retail network. Maintain and re-tie existing retail sites.
    • Manage the implementation and execution of all new Retail Customer Value Propositions across Fleet Solutions, Convenience Retail and new Energy formats.
    • Assist planning team with creation of a network masterplan that’s designed to refresh the Sasol network in line with the new customer value propositions outlined in the Mobility and Customer Experience Strategy.

    Formal Education

    • University Bachelor’s Degree

    Administrator Mining Non-Permanent Employee (6 months)

    Purpose of Job

    • To support the survey team  activities including invoice verification, perform reconciliations and query management.To provide input into identifying process improvements for preventing queries. Actively follow-up on outstanding issues on relevant Supplier and GL reconciliation’s to ensure on time processing and accurate payment. Actively follow-up on all items older than thirty days with proper explanations on any of these items not being cleared.
    • To perform respective Supplier reconciliations in line with the standard process .
    • To assist on request from the Surveyor in other ad-hoc needs within the Coal purchases areas such as required etc.
    • Ensure adequate governance and internal controls are exercised in these areas of responsibilities and to ensure the adherence to IFRS.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Capture the supplied information (POD’s) on to the work sheet and verify deliveries against the relevant Purchase Order
    • Support and implement the review of follow ups and queries within Coal Purchases control accounts.
    • Follow ups conducted within agreed time.
    • Scrutinise the information and work sheet to identify any deviations such as variances on information, measurements or duplicates
    • Send out daily report (tons) and PO tracking
    • Prepare daily recons as well as final reconciliations.  Send final reconciliation report to Suppliers. 
    • Reconciliations of high quality with follow-up notes on outstanding items older than 30 days.
    • No SOX failures/ No C Audit reports.
    • Adherence to Accounting Manual and Sasol Policy contract requirements.
    • Investigates and resolve queries on supplier invoices to ensure timely payment thereof.
    • Discrepancies investigated and resolved.
    • All supporting documents secured, approved and payment run scheduled where required.
    • Record and log all queries on the appropriate platforms and execute resolution timeously.
    • Timeous and accurate processing of Work sheets.
    • Complete and accurate supporting document to support  Coal purchase recon processed.
    • Timeous and accurate completion of relevant Reconciliation
    • High quality Reconciliation with proper descriptions and follow-up actions noted and documented.
    • Long outstanding Open items are investigated and reported to Surveyor to assist in resolving the queries.
    • Ensure adherence to SHE standards.
    • Comply to Sasol safety process and requirement.
    • Ensure that regular safety inspections do not find safety contraventions.?
    • Adherence to Sasol critical behaviours and values.
    • Focus on Important Stakeholder and Relationships.
    • Reporting Near Misses.

    Logistics Coordinator

    Purpose of Job

    • To manage the customer demand fulfilment process at Secunda Lubricants depot from order creation to delivery, Bulk product level monitoring, customer order scheduling and administration of relevant documentation. Management of product quality and accuracy.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Bulk product orders (Stakeholders) - Manage the on time and accurate execution of all orders, planning and scheduling for delivery (manual interface between SAP PS1 and SAP PS7).
    • Packed product orders (Stakeholders and customers) - Manage the on time and accurate execution of all orders and scheduling for delivery (manual interface between SAP PS1, SAP PS7 and Sasol Logistics Command Centre / LC4).
    • Manage customer back orders, product shortfall and fulfilment.
    • Manage bulk stock levels and expedite demand requirements to Demand Replenishment Planning and Blending facility.
    • Manage packed product stock levels through inter depot stock transfers and procurement requirements.
    • Manage weekly physical product quality inspections.
    • Manage stock accuracy through regular stock counts and bulk product tank dipping, associated with weekly (manual) and monthly stock reconciliations (SAP PS7 processing).
