    Plant Support:

    • Process Design, Standardisation and Improvement
    • Offers subject matter expertise on the manufacturing process
    • Design and develop manufacturing processes with the aim of improving efficiency, reducing waste and lowering overall production costs.
    • Evaluate and standardise existing processes to enhance the performance of the equipment, people and enhance overall productivity.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead, support and coach on problem solving using root cause analysis techniques
    • Establish corrective and preventative countermeasures from problem solving

    NPD Process Technologists - Centurion

    Job Description

    • We at RCL FOODS are in search for an NPD Process Technologist to join our  Baking Business Unit. The role will be based in Centurion and report to the New Product Development Manager
    • The NPD Process Technologist is the link between the product development kitchen and the production line.  Responsible to ensure that new products make a smooth transition from trial and testing stages to full production.
    • The NPD Process Technologist ensures that trial factory production runs take place with the outcomes reported to all relevant staff. Identify any critical issues, make recommendations for improvements, measure yields and make sure that everything complies with quality and customer expectations.
    • In some instances the NPD Process Technologist may also be responsible for trialling new processing equipment - either in support of a new product launch or to make improvements to current production processes.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    New Product Development

    • Responsible for the implementation of new products developed by the NPD Team in the factories that will ensure a successful product launch, ensuring that product consistency is achieved throughout the entire process
    • Schedule and manage production line trials and re-evaluations making sure that everything has gone to plan
    • Understand company production processes and flag up any potential problems to the NPD team at early development stages.
    • Initiate solutions to production issues / problems / capacity constraints.

    • Liaise with purchasing colleagues to ensure that all incoming stock for factory trial runs is in place.

    Technical Expertise and Insight

    • Identify any critical issues, and make recommendations regarding processes of equipment for improvements.

    • Compile reports capturing key data, scale-up and methods, QAS, qualitative and quantitative standards, yields and process waste.
    • Ensuring that kitchen components and finished product samples are retained for reference and future benchmarking against 1st trial & customer launch sign-offs.
    • Organise and perform shelf-life and organoleptic testing of retained samples to ensure product safety and quality against agreed QAS.
    • Monitor any changes to the NPD recipe and processes that will result in increased product costs.  Report any deviations whilst agreeing on corrective actions as appropriate.

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is on the hunt for an analytical individual with a finance background and a passion for ERP systems and who is a Syspro super user, to join our Commercial team as Business Analyst (Finance). This role is based in Pretoria West and reports to the Commercial Manager.
    • The purpose of the role is to act as the business support advisor and Super User to the Syspro ERP environment for the Baking Business Unit. To work in conjunction with the Business to identify, design, and specify applications solutions that meet the business requirements and achieve the Business requirement; and to facilitate the implementation of identified solutions utilising recognised project management methodologies.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Minimum Degree in Commerce/Accounting (BCom) - non-negotiable.
    • Diploma / degree in Project Management will be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience within a finance function and role of the ERP – Syspro super user.
    • Demonstrates success in managing projects relating to superior performance and continuous improvement.

    • RCL FOODS is searching for a Senior Lab Analyst to join the Foods Division  based in Randfontein and report to the Lab Manager. The purpose of the role is to Manage all resources in the laboratory – equipment, employees and product. Ensure strict adherence to Food Safety Standards.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • NDip Food Technology or equivalent qualification
    • Completed training and working experience on ISO 17025
    • Training on FSMS advantageous
    • Min 2 years hands on experience in the Supervisory position in a laboratory environment.

    Knowledge and Skill 

    • Proven experience in establishment, implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 
    • Experience in chemistry testing laboratory including thorough knowledge on HPLC/UPLC usage for toxins, Protein analysis, NIR applications, Fat analysis (Soxhlet), PV, FFA, Salt, acidity,

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Performs administrator duties and attends to routine and specific matters of a business for the site leadership team
    • Manages the calendar and independently schedules appointments.
    • Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible.
    • Arranges events or conferences by arranging for facilities and caterer, issuing information or invitations and coordinating logistic requirements for visitors.
    • Arranges detailed travel plans and itineraries, compiles documents for travel-related meetings.
    • Maintains office environment and equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs
    • Overseeing office services (Cleaners, handymen)
    • Arranges the receiving and distribution of mail and courier requirements
    • Assist with ordering of stationery
    • Recording and maintaining office expenses
    • Coordinating internal and external events
    • Taking and ensuring messages are passed to the appropriate staff member in time
    • Managing meeting room availability
    • Receiving, sorting, distributing and dispatching daily mail

    Receipting Clerk

    Job Description    
    DAILY OPERATIONAL EXECUTION

    • Receipting of non-stock items, service items and finished product for resale in compliant and timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with established procedures and company standards including levels of authority.
    • Ensure that high level of house-keeping are maintained.

    NON-STOCK ITEMS

    • The Receipting Clerk must verify that a Purchase Order (PO) exists for the delivery being received. Stock can only be receipted against an ERP system PO.
    • Once the PO has been identified, Receipting clerk who physically received the items must check the delivery note against the physical stock for following:
    • Item correctness,
    • Quantity of stock, and Visual quality.
    • If there is no PO on the system, the stock must be returned back to the vendor by means of a goods returned advice.
    • Once the Receipting Clerk is satisfied that the stock is correct and that the PO exists the supplier delivery note must be signed, the delivery note retained and a copy returned to the supplier; and approved copy is submitted to the creditors department.

    SERVICES

    • Where services have been received: The service invoice and job card (if applicable) must be signed by the End User / or Cost Centre Owner as evidence of the service having been performed.
    • The invoice and applicable job card must be submitted to the Operational Procurement for receipting.
    • The Receipting Clerk will capture the receipt on the ERP system.

    Procurement Excellence Manager

    • Buyer (Senior)

    • Where original service invoices are received by the Operational Procurement; original invoices must be submitted to the Creditors Department for payment after goods receipt capture has been completed.
    • After completion of above steps, the Receipting Clerk must create a service entry sheet on the ERP system.

    RECEIPTING OF FINISHED PRODUCT FOR RESALE

    • Same principles required as per above.
    • Attention to detail on goods receipting batch numbers based on approved received by SHEQ
    • Ensure receipting is completed with 24 hours of receipt of all relevant supporting documentation.

    ERP PROCESSING

    • The Receipting clerk must create and / or capture the goods receipt on ERP system against the PO.
    • Delivery note number must be included on Goods Receipt entry.
    • For batch managed items, each batch must be captured on a separate line on the goods receipt.
    • Once the goods receipt has been captured, the Receipting Clerk must write the Goods Receipt number onto the delivery note and file it.
    • All delivery documents from the supplier must be filed.

    KPIS

    • Compliance with receipting policies and procedures including company levels of authority
    • Accuracy of documentation and data
    • All invoices and delivery notes are receipted against an authorised Purchase Order within 24 hours of receiving an approved workflow/ approved delivery note / approved invoice; and within deadlines for month end.
    • Purchase order are to be expedited timeously
    • Assist buying team with all finance queries where necessary and all queries to be resolved within 48 hours
    • No open purchase orders after delivery date on system i.e. BI Cube and SAP systems

    ADHOC AMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

    • General administrative duties
    • Administration of 3G data cards applications for Group Services and Consumer Division:
    • Issue 3G cards to employees on fully approved workflow requests
    • Order 3G cards from preferred service provider as required
    • Maintenance of master-list of all 3G cards allocated to employees
    • Address internal customer queries (i.e. employees) e.g. top up requests with necessary approvals obtained and provide a link between the end user and the preferred service provider

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric.
    • Previous 1 year experience in a Finance / Similar environment would be advantageous
