    Facilities Maintenance Staff (Inside) - SPARK Blue Downs High - 2026

    Purpose of the role:

    • SPARK Schools inside facilities maintenance staff ensure that the school building is well maintained and clean. Inside facilities maintenance staff are integral to the SPARK Schools “culture” and our commitment to providing a world-class learning environment for our scholars.

    Requirements
    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the upkeep of the school building, gardens, and grounds.
    • Report facilities maintenance issues to school leadership and assist with repairs where applicable.
    • Ensure that the school premises are safe for students, staff and parents.
    • Assist with welcoming students during daily arrivals and dismissals, as required by school leadership.
    • Manage tools and equipment, reporting any damaged or lost items to school leadership for fixing or replacement.
    • Assist with ad-hoc operational tasks, such as moving furniture, working with maintenance and gardening suppliers, or setting up for events.
    • Communicate and collaborate professionally with school staff, parents, and other stakeholders as required.

    Primary School Maths Teacher (IP) Temporary - SPARK Midrand -2026

    Purpose of Role:

    • SPARK Schools Maths Teachers drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behaviour, and academic growth for all students. SPARK Schools maths teachers are content specialists, who receive on­going professional development customised for their past experience and individual needs.
    • Maths teachers are integral to the SPARK School’ “culture” and our commitment to rigorous, engaging learning experiences for our scholars. SPARK Schools teaches the PR1ME Maths curriculum which is a world class program based on effective teaching and learning practices of Singapore, Republic of Korea and Hong Kong.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan for and be prepared to deliver lessons to students from 7:45­-3:30 pm (depending on grade level assignment and timetable) daily within content area specialisation.
    • Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences and to create individualised behaviour and learning plans for all students.
    • Attend pre-­service professional development before the school year begins and attend weekly professional development every Monday afternoon.
    • Administer weekly and termly assessments to track student progress and analyse the data for student growth.
    • SPARK Educators should have a core focus on student achievement and should drive all scholars to meet the required proficiency ratings.
    • Lead weekly SEL (Social Emotional Learning) circles and implement SPARK Schools Social Emotional Learning curriculum.
    • Use SPARK culture and implement behaviour management strategies.
    • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, parents and other stakeholders.
    • Participate actively in staff development opportunities as a member of the SPARK Schools team.

    • SAQA accreditation for non-South African equivalent qualifications

    Primary School Principal - SPARK Rosslyn Hub - 2026

    Purpose of Role:

    • The Principal drives student achievement by leading a team of excellent staff to prepare SPARK scholars for university and beyond. The Principal sets a rigorous vision for student achievement and implements strategic steps to lead staff, families, students, and the greater community to fulfill that vision. The Principal collaborates with the Assistant Principal(s) and School Operations Manager to uphold high expectations for school culture, student achievement, and professional development.

    • Create and maintain a school culture that values high achievement, strong character, and love for learning.

    Experience:

    • Previous experience managing or working with primary school-aged children.
    • At least 3-4 years of excellent classroom instruction.
    • Previous experience leading a team, preferably in a school context.
    • Experience and practice with South African labour laws.
