    Junior Graphic Designer

    Role responsibilities

    Zutari is looking for a highly driven junior graphic designer with the ability to interpret complex information and visually represent it to our public and private sector clients across South Africa and Africa.

    The successful applicant will work on a variety of complex engineering and consulting projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, corporate communication, visual communication, process illustration, training material development, editorial report production; proposal designs, illustration; building brand identity; marketing and communications and establishing an online presence through social media.

    Education / Skills / Knowledge

    Role responsibilities

    We are looking for a qualified Project Administrator to be based at our client’s premises for a period of up to two years to provide project administration and coordination.

    The Project Administrator will provide support to Project Managers and be an interface between the Technical / Projects teams and Finance.  They will work on various platforms including an Enterprise Resource Planning system and a web-based Project Lifecycle Management Tool.  Typical tasks they will perform include:

    ICT Engineer/Technologist

    Role Responsibilities  

    • Provide leadership to a team of digital designers, engineers, technitians and modellers 
    • Coordinating the design and virtual construction of the relevent building services designs forming part of projects such as data centres, education and sports facilities, hospitals, commercial buildings and transport facilities 
    • Managing and quality checking deliverables (incl. modelling works, data/parameter management) carried out by global and multinational dispersed & remote teams 
    • Co-ordinating with other disciplines  
    • Facilitating virtual and mixed reality sessions for co-ordination and consultation purposes, and be interested in the research and implementation of new BIM technology into project work 
    • Maintain project records in accordance with internal quality system 
    • Challenge the team to remain ahead of the technology curve, regarding technical trends, as well as design execution 

    Minimum Requirements  

    • BSc/MSc/ BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering
    • Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) (beneficial) 
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the ICT environment, within the built environment, preferably within a consulting engineering business 
    • A strong background in ICT design including structured cabling, ICT systems, LAN/ WAN /active networking, structured cabling, wireless/radio, CCTV and Electronic Access Control and Alarm Systems, (required) 
    • Experience with Audio Visual, GRMS (Guest Room Management System), Meeting Room Management systems, Integrated BMS (Building Management System), IoT (Converged Networks) and Network Topology Design will be beneficial. 
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, Electrical or Telecommunications (preferred).  Cisco CCNA, BICSI RCDD and PrEng pathway certifications (beneficial). 
    • Previous exposure to datacentre, stadiums, education, healthcare, and other commercial related project
    • International project experience (outside Africa) (beneficial) 
    • A willingness to learn and investigate technological systems 
    • Smart building ICN knowledge would be an advantage 
    • A strong interest in working on innovative and complex projects
