Junior Graphic Designer at Zutari

Role responsibilities

Zutari is looking for a highly driven junior graphic designer with the ability to interpret complex information and visually represent it to our public and private sector clients across South Africa and Africa.

The successful applicant will work on a variety of complex engineering and consulting projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, corporate communication, visual communication, process illustration, training material development, editorial report production; proposal designs, illustration; building brand identity; marketing and communications and establishing an online presence through social media.

Education / Skills / Knowledge

• Minimum of a 3-year degree/certificate in Graphic Design or similar from a recognized institution.
• 0 – 2 years’ experience
• Excellent communication – written and verbal
• Design portfolio will be needed
• The ability and confidence to communicate to all levels
• Professionalism with regards to deadlines and time management
• Show initiative and be highly motivated
• Willingness to learn and adapt to company and team dynamics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Take great care and pay attention to detail
• Knowledge of standard-based media formats will be an advantage

Proficient in the following software:

• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Full Microsoft Office 365 Suit

Advantageous

• Adobe draw
• Limited knowledge of WordPress

Key Responsibilities:

• Creatively work with our in-house brands – interpret them accurately visually through all platforms provided
• Create & design graphics for all marketing collateral for print, digital & web
• Provide advice on the appropriate use of graphics within deliverables
• Create icons and infographics that enhance the messaging of communications
• Provide assistance with drawings and sketches of technical content
• Assist and create presentations in line with the needs of the client
