    Speech Therapist At Nurture Mossel Bay- Garden Route

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation to patients with communication, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to improving functional outcomes and enhancing quality of life for patients in a supportive and professional environment.
    • Our group practice at Nurture Mossel Bay on the Garden Route is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
    • Current HPCSA registration and Malpractice Insurance
    • Up to date CPD status

    Rehab Medical Doctor at Nurture Mossel Bay - Garden Route

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • Our Therapy Group Practice at Nurture Healthcare requires a Rehab Medical Doctor who will be based at Nurture Mossel Bay physical rehabilitation facility on the Garden Route. This role is an exciting position comprising the opportunity to treat inpatient rehabilitation patients and build relationships with the referring specialists in the area. This successful applicant will form part of the facility leadership team.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    • An MBChB. and full HPCSA registration.
    • At least 3 years’ experience as a Medical Practitioner.
    • Your own transport.
    • Professional indemnity cover.
    • Previous experience in an interdisciplinary team setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
    • Exposure to inpatient treatment, high care, ICU, and casualty

    COMPETENCY EXPECTATIONS:

    • Patient and family-centered approach.
    • Have strong communication skills and an ability to deal with a diverse range of patients and fellow team members.
    • An interest in working closely with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, and administrators.
    • Prepared to assume responsibility for the patients allocated to you, deal with some level of uncertainty, but know when to consult and liaise with other team members, referring doctors, and with consultants.
    • Have a strong clinical knowledge and skill base, and a hunger to learn more and be coached.
    • Be literate in MS Windows and MS Office.
    • Perform pre-admission patient rehabilitation evaluations guided by the Nurture Care Model.

    Social Worker at Nurture Mossel Bay-Garden Route

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Therapy Manager, our Social Worker is an essential member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. You will:

    • Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and craft individualised care plans.
    • Provide counselling, crisis intervention and ongoing emotional support to patients and families.
    • Facilitate family meetings, discharge planning and smooth community reintegration.
    • Advocate for resources, benefits and funding to optimise long-term outcomes.
    • Collaborate daily with the interdisciplinary to deliver seamless, evidence-based care.
    • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation compliant with SACSSP standards and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives.

    REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • BA Degree in Social Work
    • Current SACSSP membership & valid malpractice insurance
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a private hospital or Rehabilitation setting (advantageous)
    • Minimum Salary:  R26 464.20 Cost to Company (including benefits)

    • As a Rehab Supporter, you will play a key role in assisting our interdisciplinary therapy team—including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy—to provide high-quality rehabilitation services.     Admin Support (Receptionist) at Nurture Mossel Bay - Garden Route

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • The Nurture Healthcare Group requires an Admin Support (Receptionist) who will be based at our Nurture Mossel Bay facility on the Garden Route reporting to the Hospital Manager.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12.
    • 2 Year or more experience as an administrator within a clinical environment.
    • Computer literate with strong administration and organizational skills.

    KEY COMPETENCIES

    • Must be able to work in fast paced environment
    • Excellent in follow up/follow through
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
    • Need to understand the difference between acute and rehabilitation services (as they are fighting for rehab not medical care – must be able to explain that to the funder)

    • Strong English language competency
    • Excellent telephone etiquette
    • Forward thinking skills – identify possible challenges
    • Typing skills would be an advantage
