    Global HSSE Risk & Assurance Lead

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive a high performing Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) culture that promotes accountability and employee advocacy through effective leadership and people engagement strategies.
    • Lead the implementation and measurement of HSSE culture strategies, initiatives and targets that drive continual improvement in HSSE performance and culture. Coach and influence business leaders on HSSE culture and drive consistency in the implementation of Puma Energy HSSE Vision, Strategy, Management Systems, Governance, and Assurance Programs.
    • Review HSSE documentation including incident investigations and other reports and determine existing behavioral risk trends. Undertake individual and focus group exercises, observations, HSSE Management System audits and safety culture maturity assessments and ascertain the beliefs, perceptions and values that employees and management share in relation to HSSE across Puma Energy. This includes but is not limited to: Leadership, People, Strategy, Systems and Targets, Resources, Partnerships and Processes, and the interaction of these elements with the companies HSSE performance.
    • Undertake a PESTLE/SWOT analysis and ensure the business understands what influences may affect the ability of a location to fully implement and manage an effective HSSE Management System. Develop and formulate specific Action Plans with a range of proposals on HSSE strategies and training needs for advancing the HSSE culture to the next level. Develop appropriate metrics that will allow the monitoring and reassessment of the HSSE Culture.
    • Identify and utilize industry data sources to benchmark and compare Puma Energy HSSE culture and performance with other organizations and identify strengths, opportunities and risks. Provide insights and information on Puma Energy’s future strategic initiatives.
    • Prepare reports and presentations including recommendations that contribute to ongoing improvement activities. Assist in the development of strategic reporting to ensure the executive team and business leaders understand current and emerging HSSE risk trends within Puma Energy.
    • Actively participate as a member of the Global HSSE Group and provide specialist HSSE advice to support business goals. Keep up to date with HSSE legislative changes including participation in internal and external meetings.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Experience

    • 5 - 10 year’s practical experience in a HSSE systems, governance, assurance or operational role, ideally with a focus in Oil and Gas, Construction, Aviation and/or other high-risk industries, including 3 years in a leadership position;
    • Experience in the planning and undertaking of HSSE cultural programs in large complex global organisations;
    • Experience and expertise in leading HSSE programs including continuous improvement of HSSE Management Systems, Governance, Assurance and Learning and Development Programs;
    • Comprehensive understanding of the HSSE legislative frameworks across global jurisdictions and ability to clearly and concisely communicate legal requirements;
    • Tertiary qualifications in health, safety and/or environment;
    • University degree in health, safety, environment or a psychology discipline is preferred;
    • HSE Lead Auditor qualifications (IRCA, RABQSA or equivalent);
    • Experience with international standards ISO 45001, ISO 45003, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.

    Skills

    • Fluent English, strong written and verbal communication together with listening and presentation skills;
    • Demonstrated global project management capability and strong risk evaluation and management skills;
    • High level of interpersonal skills, including strong teamwork, negotiating and influencing skills;
    • Ability to handle difficult conversations including how to avoid conflict;
    • Strong analytical and conceptual skills;
    • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce high level, detailed reports and documentation;
    • Experience in the development and application of HSSE Learning and Development Programs;
    • Strong computer skills and superior use of Microsoft Office suite including HSSE digital platforms;

    • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment including ability to relate to diverse groups of people;
    • Experience in engaging global teams and inspiring high levels of employee engagement;
    • Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative style which can manage and influence a variety of global stakeholders, including senior management;
    • Evaluates options and makes recommendations underpinned by an understanding of the business strategy and global compliance obligations;
    • Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines;
    • Familiarisation and an understanding of safety culture assessment questionnaires;
    • Interviewing and competency in the language being spoken by interviewees.

    Territory Manager

    Main Purpose:

    Responsible for the development and day-to-day management of business to business fuel (clean product and fuel oil) business regionally, including sales growth and overall profitability. Manage LOB in accordance with overall company policies and improving commercial performance by increasing turnover and maximizing profitability, finding new ways to improve sales, and meeting customer demand.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

    Budget Commitment 

    Manage a portfolio of Dealers responsible for;

    • Setting & meeting targets in a highly competitive environment
    • Business development and marketing plans in line with the annual target growth
    • Administrative control of the assigned client’s portfolio, as well in goal achievement and in effectiveness to recover values, maintain the credit lines established by the company and making cashing negotiations
    • Contract implementation and management

    HSE 

    Wetstock Management

    • Monitor the use of Wetstock tool or template provided by Puma Energy or developed by a dealer to ensure accurate capturing of electronic and manual recons daily all site in your TM area
    • Submit all WSM report to shared area every month after a site visit
    • Involved in sites reflecting losses and discrepancies from the WSM report to ensure resolution and preventing sites from dumping
    • Ensure dealers report all PI’s/NM’s and incidents, learnings shared and records kept

    Profitability

    Monthly analysis of GM and P&L investigate & address anomalies 

    • Defending DODO & CLDO
    • Work with the Network Development Manager to ensure the leads are finalized and business cases approved
    • Ensure agreements are in place and dealers adhere to contractual obligations
    • Ensure every site developed and business developed generates income for Puma
    • Motivate for an appropriate QSR/no fuel activity and ensure business case is completed
    • Submit site improvement plans to the projects team for costing, budgeting and implementation i.e. NTP’s, NTI’s existing network upgrades, KDR for planning and budget submissions for the following year
    • Request contracts and maintain control of validity periods
    • Control maintenance and assessment if the inventories left by the consignment to agents and value calculation for Banks Guarantees

    Governance & Monitoring

    Ensure all agreements are signed 

    • Conduct business review for all contract renewals 
    • Capture all site visit reports on the shared drive and ensure dealer signs and not the site manager unless the manager is a nominated principal and there is proof
    • Control fixed and minor opex spend and close any open orders 
    • Ensure there are no contradictory clauses between lease and dealer agreements 
    • Conduct business reviews with the dealers quarterly 
    • Conduct 1 marketing plan per year 
    • One site activation per year per site.

    Requirements:

    Experience:  

    • Undergraduate University Degree in Industrial engineering, Business Administration or other related field.
    • Post Graduate University Degree in Business Administration or Commerce is preferred.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in similar position. Knowledge of Fuels market preferred.

    Skills:  

    • Fluent in English
    • Advanced Knowledge of MS Office.
    • Knowledge and basic understanding of financial information (accounting statements, profit and loss statements, cash flow)

    • Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
    • Skill to work under pressure and ability to manage change.
    • High attention to detail.
