    Solar Inverter Account Manager, Limpopo

    About the role:

    • The Solar Inverter Account Manager at Sun King will effectively plan, organize, coordinate and control the overall activities within the sales team to achieve set objectives around volume, gross profit, credit extensions to customers and growth. The incumbent will be a key driver in the execution of the Inverter EasyBuy strategy for Sun King.

    What you would be expected to do:

    • Meet or exceed KPI targets of volume, gross profits, costs and credit applicable to the sales territory.
    • Ensure implementation of market space strategies affecting the customers.
    • Contribute to and implement global strategies.
    • Work closely with the Call Centre to ensure that customers are vetted and the sales process is completed.
    • Provide timeous input into the forecasting cycles through the Sales Manager and procurement, ensuring adequate inventory for the customer base.
    • Develop and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships and develop new relationships.
    • Ensure that all queries and complaints received from customers are expeditiously attended to and resolved in the areas of orders, deliveries and credit vetting.
    • Grow the market in the property development sector.
    • Monitor and analyze the market and competitor behavior; and act upon this as appropriate in order to safeguard performance levels in collaboration with the Sales Manager and the Marketing team.
    • Ensure timeous submission of expense reports.
    • Collaborate with sales, product, operations, and other teams to monitor product performance.

    You might be a strong candidate if you Have:

    • A Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or other relevant disciplines. 
    • Proficiency with modern statistical analysis and data visualization software.
    • At least 5 years of experience in technical sales
    • Experience within the electrical and solar industry
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

    Solar Installation and Maintenance Technician, Limpopo

    About the Role:

    • Sun King is looking for a qualified and motivated Solar Installation Technician to join our team in driving the adoption of clean energy solutions in South Africa. You will be accountable for the solar installations; from site assessment to system activation, and ensuring compliance with all South African safety regulations and standards

    What you would be expected to do

    • System Installations
    • Participate in site assessments to assess suitability for solar panel installation
    • Assist with designing and planning solar system installations based on customer needs and roof specifications.
    • Install racking, solar panels, electrical components, and wiring, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
    • Perform electrical wiring and grounding according to code requirements.
    • Test and validate the installation and verify performance and efficiency.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance on solar systems and troubleshoot any issues.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all installation and maintenance activities.
    • Work effectively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient installation process.

    You might be a strong candidate if you

    • Have a minimum of  National Certificate in Electrical Trades (N3) or equivalent qualification.
    • Have a minimum of  One Phase Wiremen's License (this is a compulsory requirement) 
    • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in solar panel installation or a related field.
    • Have knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and their components.
    • Have a working knowledge of electrical fundamentals, SANS Wiring Code (SANS 10142-1), and South African safety regulations (NRF, SANS IEC 60038).
    • Are able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
    • Have experience working at heights and in various weather conditions.
    • Are in excellent physical condition with the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.

    Senior Service Technician, South Africa

    About the Role:

    • Sun King is looking for a Service Technician to manage the Aftersales operations in South Africa. This role will be a key point of contact for the Sales team, cross-functional departments, and customers for after-sales and service queries. This role will work with all the stakeholders within Sun King as well as with key stakeholders on the customer side for installation, and service queries and builds smooth relations with internal and external customers, to achieve best-in-class customer satisfaction..

    What you will be expected to do:

    • Quality Assurance: Perform timely diagnostics and repair on all customer returns from the assigned zone while maintaining a report on all observed issues and actions taken. Regular positive improvement of all the existing processes at the service centre every quota.
    • Systems and Process Design: Coordinate with technology teams to ensure Sun King's systems meet customer service needs, including applications. Develop new processes to transform current service operations more efficiently.
    • Training: Build training materials and hold training for partners about product troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and replacement processes when requested. Develop a thorough knowledge of the product and service Sun King is offering.
    • Customer Service: Deliver a comprehensive service to inquiring customers. Find solutions and close product replacements and other warranty claims within the designated timelines. Delegate certain customer inquiries to specific teams when needed.
    • Team Management: Manage the development and continuous improvement within the after-sales team. Provide guidance for team members’ careers. Drive professional growth within the team.
    • Dispute Management: Manage a large number of incoming calls and emails, keeping a record of customer interactions and details of actions taken. Report back on results addressing any issues/disputes from customers.

    You might be a strong candidate if you have:

    • A diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
    • A minimum of 5 years experience in after-sales services team in the electronic consumer goods/inverter industry.
    • A valid 3 phase wireman licence.
    • Experience installing solar inverters.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to pass information and to different audiences in order to get results.
    • Critical thinking skills and a passion for resolving customer queries.
    • An entrepreneurial spirit with qualities of being able to work without supervision and figure things out with innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and presence of mind.

    Customer Service Executive, South Africa

    About the role:

    • As a Customer Service Executive, you will be a pivotal link between our Operations, Sales teams, and our valued customers. Your role is not just about resolving issues; it's about creating exceptional experiences that foster long-lasting customer relationships.

    • Possess basic knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and data entry skills.
