About the role
We are extremely excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a professional and dedicated Business Partner: Commercial Finance to be based in our offices in Johannesburg in South Africa. This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager Finance.
The primary responsibilities include delivering commercial insights and value add, providing business support, managing reporting, and offering financial business partner analysis support to the commercial team. Additionally, occasional travel to our Africa South operations will be required for this role.
The successful candidate will be working closely with the Senior Manager Finance, Finance Analysts: direct reports, Performance Reporting team, Territory Managers (TMs), Area Business Manager (ABMs) and various other touchpoints/stakeholders to deliver commercial insight, business support and management reporting and providing financial business partner analysis support to the commercial team.

What you will be doing
- Providing accurate, meaningful, and timely business and regional performance reports to the lead team;
- Ensuring month end, quarterly and half year reporting is compliant with corporate requirements, on time and of high quality;
- Preparing and presenting Monthly Business Reviews MBR’s) to the lead team;
- Adhering to financial control framework, generating, and ensuring accurate MBR reporting
- Business partnering to improve financial performance of the region with focus on growth. This includes financial analysis support for contracts (GQOMs financial modelling);
- Guiding, reviewing and interrogating analysis on business unit results, trends, market conditions etc;
- Performing Variance Analysis against forecast and budgets and flag any opportunities or risks;
- Providing finance support to the Area Business Manager and lead team;
- Providing accurate, meaningful, and timely business and regional performance reports to the lead team;
- Reporting on KPIs to deliver EAA goals;
- Monitoring and enabling achievement of TWC targets to optimise cash generation;
- Local statutory and tax submissions;
- Risk mitigation execution.
What you will bring
- Possession of a CA (SA), CIMA, MBA, or equivalent qualification, along with a professional accreditation, would be advantageous;
- 5-7 years of pertinent work experience in a business partnering capacity.
- Strong financial and business acumen;
- Robust Stakeholder engagement;
- Experience in facilitating senior management presentations;
- Advanced Excel;
- Comfortable working in a constantly changing/ambiguous environment;
- Ability to influence strategic decision makers through relevant financial analysis;
- Adept at planning and organisation;
- Strong interpersonal skills and high EQ/self-awareness;
- Knowledge and experience in SAP, PowerBI (PBI), Budgeting and Forecasting tools;

About the role
We are extremely excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a dedicated Planner - Maintenance to be based at our customer site, in Venetia in Musina.
The main objective of this pivotal role is to oversee the planning, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of maintenance activities between Orica and site customers. The ultimate goal is to enhance equipment availability, thereby reducing downtime and costs.
What you will be doing
- Coordinating with site operations, supply chain, purchasing, materials management, maintenance personnel and maintenance management to verify the availability of parts, materials and special tools required for the execution of Work Orders;
- Identifying critical component needs and critical material needs to establish safety stock requirements to ensuring components are on site or quickly sourced to minimize downtime;
- Providing to site supervisor regular updates on equipment availability, planned and unplanned downtimes to manage internal and external customer expectations;
- Communicating and collaborating with the maintenance technicians, engineers, managers, and other stakeholders on the maintenance issues and solutions to communicate these to internal or external customer;
- Providing feedback and suggestions for improving maintenance efficiency and effectiveness;
- Monitoring and tracking the progress and status of the maintenance work orders and notifications in the SAP system;
- Identifying and resolving any conflicts, delays, or deviations in the maintenance plans and schedules;
- Updating and maintaining the asset and equipment data and documentation in the SAP system;
- Supporting the maintenance process for both fixed plant and vehicles;
- Coaching and supporting mining services team in relation to improving performance through improved maintenance &/or operating practice;
- Ensuring maintenance contractors are selected and managed to the required standard.
What you will bring
- Diploma, Certification in a Technical Field (Engineering or Construction);
- Previous Maintenance Experience;
- Computer Maintenance System Experience;
- Reliability Centred Maintenance Experience;
- Critical Machine Maintenance (ANE and MMU product pumps)
