    R&D Medical & Technical Affairs Associate Scientist

    Job Description

    • Implementation and activation of relevant global/regional/local commercially aligned medical plans
    • Medical-scientific expert input for Life Cycle Management of all relevant products in market portfolio
    • Medical-scientific expert on market specific health-related topics
    • Medical Governance - framework of policies and system ensuring compliance with recognized medical/ ethical standards related to the marketing of PHCI products
    • External stakeholder collaboration and management (e.g. Key Opinion Leaders, medical experts, research/scientific organizations, service providers)
    • Supporting all PHC brands (including all medical-scientific tasks, including but not limited to preparation and maintenance of core documents, regulatory authority requests, claims support documents, NPDs etc.), with focus on local projects and brands

    Job Qualifications

    • Biological Sciences BSc, MSc or BPharm/MPharm with 0-3 years’ experience in Pharma/ Healthcare Industry. Preferable in area of medical affairs, with relevant expertise on medicines, food supplements and medical devices, professional sales function experience would be an advantage
    • Fluent in English (speak, read & write)
    • Working knowledge on regulatory requirements, requirements and standards in product development, regulations and internal quality documents.
    • Mastered use of job- and area-specific software and databases.

    Retail Operations Specialist

    Day-to-day roles and responsibilities:

    • Regular store coverage or visit to Drug Pharma Chain-stores in South Africa.
    • Develop and lead processes to improve operational efficiencies of Personal Health Care.
    • Lead and be responsible on giving clear direction and support to PHC pharmacy representatives & business partners such as Merchandising agency team.
    • Regular alignment and support to PHC Key Account Managers handling Drug Pharma Chain-stores for all in-store programs and execution align to P&G requirements such as Distribution Golden Points, Visibility Golden Points, Proof of Performance and other KPIs.
    • Ensure flawless execution of the 5Ps Strategy in all our displays in Drug Pharma Chain-stores based on the agreed list of stores with the customers especially planograms shared by Drug Pharma Channel agencies.

    • Carry out monthly, quarterly & annual reviews with PHC Leadership Team to give PHC update and in-store performance including execution performance.
    • Assist in training and development of the team to ensure delivery outstanding customer service and store program implementation such as logistics, inventory management, display design (POG), order fulfilment (suggested orders only), etc.
    • Review team performance providing immediate feedback (both positive and development) in order to recognize and praise excellent performance and to develop areas of need.
    • To identify and proactively manage any poor performance issues or execution using appropriate company policy. Ensure execution in based on given timelines and deadlines.
    • Completing and updating all store execution targets such as sales fundamentals and communicate to the team and merchandising business partners.
    • To comply with data protection and regulations relevant to the business and ensure correct practice is adhered to.
    • Build good supportive relationship with key stakeholders of Drug Pharma Chain-stores especially stores enrolled in Smart Sell.
    • Communicate effectively both verbally and written for full awareness and documentation.
    • Deputize for Sales Director in his absence for any queries of retail operations.
    • Ensure all PHC displays are always presented and merchandised to the highest standard whilst maintaining focus on the most profitable items (Power SKUs) and ensuring delivery of full stock stock-weights.

    Job Qualifications

    • National Diploma or equivalent of any course (business from any universities is advantageous).
    • 0 2 years experienced in retail operations/customer service standards.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment and requires minimum supervision.
    • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads and delegate accordingly.
    • The ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
    • To manage and lead the team ensuring a consistent and exceptional standard of customer service and in-store program execution.
    • Highly motivated and enjoy working with own initiative.
    • Must have pleasing personality and a team player.
    • Proficient or knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, written, and organizational skills.

    Quality Assurance Pharmacist (1-year Contract)

    Job Description

    General:

    Aid and support the Responsible Pharmacist to ensure compliance to:

    • SAHPRA for compliance with the requirements of the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965, and the
    • Pharmacy Council for compliance with the requirements of the Pharmacy Act, 53 of 1974.
    • Aid and support Health Safety & Environmental compliance.

    Specific Tasks:

    Quality Data Capturing

    • Update and maintain the Quality Release Databases
    • Receipt of QA Release Samples from Reception capturing information from sample, delivery note, Temperature Logger into the database
    • Collate relevant Batch Documentation and capture information into databases
    • Follow up on any missing Batch Documentation
    • Developing and maintaining an accurate filing system for Batch Release Information
    • Aid with Product Recalls’ (including mock recalls) data collation and reporting
    • Operate as content and access administrator for internal website and SharePoint database, within the constraints for legislation
    • Track Inbound Planning Report(s) to proactively request Batch Documents
    • Track DC Receipt to ensure samples are sent to office as soon as possible

    Quality Assurance Batch Release

    • Review Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformance and relevant shipping records to perform the Final Batch Release of Finished Products in accordance with SAHPRA requirements to ensure the public received products that are safe, effective and of good quality.
    • Ensure that samples received from the manufacturer meet regulatory requirements and that retention samples for each batch manufactured, are retained at the Distribution 3PL for the regulated time frame.
    • Query and resolve any non-conformances on CoAs or batch documents with the contract manufacturers to facilitate batch release.
    • Document control and archiving in accordance with SAHPRA requirements.
    • Analysis and Reporting on Product Release statistics quarterly during Quality Management Review Council Meeting.
    • Perform due diligence on at least one Batch Manufacturing and Packaging Record for imported Finished Products per Pharmaceutical SKU on the Company Product List, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Perform Annual Customer Verification to ensure that customer are aptly licensed to purchase medicines from the Company.
    • Preparation of QA Release Samples for safe product disposal

    Document Management System

    • Assisting with the compilation, review and updating of QMS Documentation, including but not limited to local procedures, policies and supporting documents.
    • Developing and maintaining an accurate filing system.
    • Keeping filing up to date, and secure.
    • Maintaining a neat and well-organised documentation system.
    • Photocopying, scanning & binding of documentation

    Customer Service

    • To provide and ensure a high level of service, to internal and external customers through
    • Proper product knowledge
    • Supplying correct information timeously
    • Good communication with other departments
    • Assist the QA Manager(s) with management of the QMS, as required.

    Job Qualifications

    • Qualified Pharmacist registered with SAPC
    • Junior candidate that completed Community Service (Opportunity to be trained and upskilled)
    • 1-2 years QA or experience in manufacturing industry will be advantageous
