    Principal Technician: Development, Asset Management and Wayleaves

    REF: IS/IPDS/IAMS/04

    Minimum requirements: 

    • A relevant National Diploma in Engineering & Information Systems
    • 5- 8 years or more relevant experience

    Other Requirements: 

    • Working knowledge of Asset Management, working knowledge of ICT Infrastructure design and management, Management Information Systems, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Infrastructure Asset Management and IMS Infrastructure design and analysis

    Responsibilities/Duties: 

    • To supply professional, reliable and cost-effective Asset Management services to existing and new end-users of StellenboschMunicipality and internally the same services to clients within theframework of a corporate structure 
    •  To implement all Infrastructure Planning and Asset Management servicesthrough the Integrated Development Plan, the Service Delivery & Budget Implementation Plan, the Spatial Development Framework and Service Master Planning 
    •  To ensure compliance with National Government standards and legislation to: Department of National Treasury: Municipal Finance Management Act, associatedregulations and standards, Department of Labour: Occupational Health and Safety Act, associated regulations andstandards, Department of Cooperative Governance: applicable legislation, regulations and standards, Department of Energy, applicable legislation,regulations and standards, Department of Water & Sanitation, applicablelegislation, regulations and standards, Department of Transport, applicable legislation, regulations and standards , Department of Environmental Affairs,applicable legislation, regulations and standards, National EnergyRegulator of South Africa as well as the Provincial Government equivalent of the above 
    •  To support the Manager:Infrastructure Asset Management and Systems to ensure the economically viable operation, cost-effective replacement & maintenance, planned and controlledthe expansion of services with long term forward planning ofall services 
    •  Co-ordinate, compile, maintain and manage a spatial register of capital projects, an infrastructureasset register of all engineering assets according to financial standards (GRAP), a departmental infrastructureasset maintenance management program and develop and provide reports to facilitate management decisionsand assist the department in reaching its KPI’s  Implement and coordinate an effective wayleave management system and process

    Principal Clerk: Community Development

    REF: CP/CS/CD/09

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Gr 12
    •  3-5 Year’s relevant experience 
    •  A valid Code B Driver’s License.

    Other Requirements: 

    • Proficiency in at least two of the three Western Cape official languages (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa)

    Responsibilities/Duties: 

    • Operate in geographic and thematic teams 
    •  Attend and chair meetings and integrate different vulnerable groups 
    •  Conduct community profiling exercises and ensure relevancy to programmes when applicable 
    •  Plan and implement programmes for vulnerable groups for example: sport development and holiday programmes in partnership with stakeholders 
    •  Monitor and evaluate implemented programmes 
    •  Write monthly reports including assessment, progress and activity reports for inclusion in a portfolio of evidence 
    •  Attend network structures and stakeholder meetings 
    •  Arrange logistics for programmes 
    •  Promote projects in the respective community 
    •  Prepare and present presentations on services when needed 
    •  Plan and implement inter-community projects between different communities 
    •  Undertake related administrative tasks such as booking venues 
    •  Arrange and do introduction talks in the community 
    •  Teach CV writing skills
    •  Disseminate information about services and resources available
    •  Assist organisations in the community with info that they need 
    •  Monitor the use of equipment and facility 
    •  Do community awareness programmes in partnership with stakeholders 
    •  Plan and implement workshops relating to area of functionality 
    •  Prepare, pack, distribute and record aid distribution 
    •  Provide administrative support to social relief assistance.

    Added advantage: 

    • National Certificate in Community Development Work or in relevant field
