    Graduate Recruiter - Senior Associate - Cape Town

    The opportunity 

    • As a Campus Recruiter Supervising Associate, you’ll own recruiting responsibilities throughout a specific market, including various events and programs. You’ll be part of a collaborative team with high visibility to leadership and the opportunity to network with a wide array of stakeholders and influencers. You’ll be acting as an ambassador for EY, so our reputation for excellence and innovation will be in your hands.     Your key responsibilities 

    • It’s no exaggeration to say no two days are quite the same in this role. You’ll take on a wide range of responsibilities from owning headcount, facilitating and attending campus recruiting events to managing programs around diversity and early-ID initiatives.  You’ll work closely with business leaders to develop recruiting strategies for local, regional and national markets. 

    Skills and attributes for success 

    • You’ll be managing a diverse array of talent projects, headcount and events so strong organizational skills and attention to detail are key.  You’ll have the ability to build and nurture long term relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll need to be creative and innovative in developing sourcing strategies that attract talent and focus on diversity initiatives.

    To qualify for the role, you must have 

    • A proven record of success in talent attraction and retention 
    • A broad understanding of recruitment laws and practices
    • General understanding in compensation practices and benefit laws and practices
    • Experience managing and planning multiple events
    • Strong knowledge of computer programs (i.e., Microsoft Office) including applicant tracking systems (i.e., Taleo, Recsolu)
    • Strong communication skills including large scale speaking engagements 
    • 5 plus years of related experience 
    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

    Ideally, you’ll also have 

    • Experience working within professional services or large matrix corporate environment 
    • Experience supervising small teams and providing counseling  
    • Analytical skills to interpret and react to complex and constantly evolving data

    Manager - ADN Corporate Secretary

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and build a specialized team that will deliver on assessing compliance with the Companies Act requirements and ensure that the team delivers timely high-quality work in line with EY methodology;
    • Experience and knowledge of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 of South Africa as well as King IV;
    • Demonstrate knowledge of the difference between the various types of entities that can be registered in South Africa;
    • Provide associates working under your direction with guidance of their duties, responsibilities and to make them aware of all the requirements of the Companies Act;

    As part of your duties, you will be responsible for performing a detailed reviews of the procedures performed by associates in relation to their auditing of the various aspects of a Company’s compliance with statutory requirements of the Companies Act including the review of the Company’s lodgment of all documents with the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office and the maintenance and updating of the Company’s register of members including but not limited to:

    • Company’s Memorandum of Incorporation and any amendments thereto;
    • Annual Reports;
    • All applicable COR Reports;
    • List of current active directors;
    • The directors’ consent to act in this role
    • Demonstrate professionalism, competency and clarity of communication when dealing with the entire department and the service audit client engagement team;
    • Proactively discuss workflow management with the service audit client engagement team allocating resources to the assigned work and monitoring performance against standards;
    • Establish expectations of value to be delivered to the respective service audit client engagement team;
    • Standardise review process along with the leverage best practices across engagements;
    • Motivate and lead associates under your direction, coach and supervise associates thereby building and deploying high performing teams;
    • Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback / training;
    • Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating consistent commitment and optimism towards team challenges;
    • Promote EY’s ethical and professional standards, including data confidentiality.

    Skills and attributes for success

    • Knowledge of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 in South Africa and King IV;
    • Knowledge off CIPC (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission)/CIPC NewCo Registration/Compliance and Corporate Data Management/Deregistration
    • Accelerate strong interpersonal and good written & oral communication skills;
    • Robust logical and reasoning;
    • Strong administrative skills;
    • Commercial awareness;
    • Team player, with the ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task, flexible and can work under pressure;
    • Project management, leadership, coaching and supervisory skills; and
    • Commitment to continuous learning and proactively implement onto new processes.
