We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded finance professional to take charge as the Head of Finance / Group Finance Manager, as well as playing key roles in daily operating functions. The company is looking to expand its current Gauteng footprint beyond the province and requires a well rounded and seasoned strategic finance expert to help run the business on all fronts. The role will develop into a Co-CEO role with the owner, needing to be able to run the business as a whole.

The company is a fast-growing SME that operates in the automotive industry with big growth prospects in the Randburg area.

Duties & Responsibilities

Finance Function

• The candidate will be required to build out a strong Finance Function to complement current systems and procedures
• Take charge of setting up the Financial Procedures that will enable the company to scale its operations in multiple cities & locations.
• Assist in strategic decisions making based on the supported financial analysis of the companies finance health.
• Business restructuring as and when required for operational and tax efficiencies
• Full finance function

Operational Duties

• Help with the overall business operations for day to day running
• The business currently operates 4 different locations in Gauteng and occasional travel will be required to assist in the running of sites, training and any ad-hoc duties.
• Assist in the opening of new branches and training of staff based on strategic direction and vision of the company
• Hiring and firing of staff

Desired Experience & Qualification

• High performing AGA (SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) is ideal. CA (SA) & CGMA will also be considered for the role
• 5 - 10 years post article experience in commercial roles
• Previous industry experience in Construction, Retail & Automotive is preferential
• Solid Tax and VAT experience
• Hard worker with a drive to make a success
• Entrepreneurial and Strategic thinker with a reliable work ethic.

A well-funded tech startup in the FinTech space is seeking a recently qualified CA(SA) to join their team and take charge of the Operational functions at the company. The role will have a clear pathway for the candidate to eventually become the COO as the company continues to scale.

Basic roles summary:

• The ideal candidate will be a CA(SA) with 0-4 years post article experience
• Establish operating controls to automate systems for scalability
• Establish the Finance Function and oversee the operations of the finance teams
• Candidates are required to be strong administratively due to multiple moving parts that need to be managed
• Candidates MUST have an entrepreneurial drive with the ability to innovate and think outside of the box
• Preference will be given to candidates that have worked in Corporate Environments (Big 4 candidates)
• Candidate must show an interest in the Tech and Startup industry
