    Specialist: Application Support (Deployments & Releases) (Menlyn)

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Application Support and maintenance
    • Provide dedicated support to Sales agent, including supporting and maintaining the applications they use.
    • Support and maintain all other applications 24/7, to ensure stability, systems availability, and performance according to agreed SLA,
    • Support, maintain and monitor Non-Production and Production Environments,
    • Deploy applications to Non-Production and Production Environments,
    • Maintain software components & ensure reliable deployment of new features,
    • Review input deliverables from Development (RN / DI),
    • Prepare implementation plan and Communicate to stakeholders,
    • Ensure application monitoring is in place as well as automated daily health checks,
    • Research new tools, technologies and best practices,
    • Taking ownership of software issues, and working with Development Teams to resolve more advanced issues,
    • Support the adoption of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, and Agile best practices,
    • Automation of manual tasks,
    • Proactively perform routine maintenance activities,
    • Perform daily health checks on all applications,
    • Manage pre-implementation and post-implementation testing,
    • Monitor Service Desk queue and manage incidents, requests and problems experienced with systems,
    • Run production scripts to correct system errors,
    • Provide business support when required (e.g.  month-end operational activities),
    • Log Change requests and CAB attendance.

    Requirements
    Formal Education:

    • IT degree/diploma 
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
    • Knowledge of configuration management tools and application performance and management tools
    • ITIL foundation certification

    Experience

    • Minimum 3-5 years of enterprise software development experience or 2+ years of DevOps experience; IIS .net technology,
    • 2+ years of experience in windows based operating systems,
    • Knowledge and understanding of Agile Methods,
    • Exposure to cloud computing,
    • Experience in implementing and maintaining Application Performance and Monitoring tools,
    • Experience working in an Agile development environment,
    • Insurance background/experience (Advantage),
    • K2 Platform knowledge and experience (Advantage),
    • Previous track record of Sales Support (Advantage),

    Sales Manager (Newcastle)

    Description

    • Develop an integrated sales & marketing plan
    • Implement and align marketing plan with regional plan and submit to management
    • Review and update strategic plan on a regular basic
    • Compile report on progress made on strategic plan
    • Communicate strategic plan to sales representatives
    • Perform recruitment and selection process for sales representative
    • Advertise and market representative positions through presentations
    • Select applicants in accordance with FSCA requirements implementation of assessment selection battery

    • Build professional business relationships with brokers

    • Maintain contacts with key decision makers and insurance industry resources (new and existing)
    • Retain and increase market share in existing markets
    • Manage the business retention
    • Conduct products presentations in the market
    • Maintain production targets and retain business
    • Ensure and monitor set production targets are achieved
    • Maintain business retention
