    Permanent Part Time - Sales Assistant - Cape Union Mart - Bela Bela

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Exceed customer expectations by practicing customer selling techniques.
    • Adhere to stock loss controls in store.
    • Ensure individual targets are met consistently.
    • Ability to maximise and drive sales by identifying opportunities to increase turnover.
    • Maintain housekeeping, uphold our visual merchandising standards in order to optimise sales.

    Technical Garment Technologist - Cape Union Mart - Maternity contract 6 months

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead product development aligned with brand specs
    • Prepare accurate tech packs for suppliers
    • Oversee the full sample sealing process—from development through bulk production
    • Conduct seasonal fit reviews
    • Pattern grading to brand/customer specs
    • Provide technical support to the design team
    • Maintain and update pattern block library and grading rules
    • Manage strict quality standards and QA reports
    • Develop supplier relationships; investigate quality issues
    • Liaise with QC at the distribution centre and with both local and overseas factories for approvals and quality queries

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) and tertiary qualification in fashion, clothing, textiles, or garment construction
    • Factory experience is advantageous
    • Preferably 5+ years in a similar role
    • Valid driver’s license is a plus
    • Experience in clothing retail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; intermediate to high Excel skills advantageous
    • Strong garment and pattern construction knowledge

    Social Media Coordinator - Poetry

    Job Description

    • The Poetry Digital Marketing team is in search of a culture and brand fit Social Media Coordinator to join their team to take ownership of the day–to–day creation, implementation & rolling out of all relevant social media content & conversations across Facebook, Instagram & TikTok. The role will require the candidate to work effectively across multiple teams, including some external partners, to proactively & creatively deliver on monthly social media content plans that excite the Poetry community while achieving the relevant business objectives.

This is a fast-changing role with evolving expectations, and we are looking for someone who has a natural aptitude for social media and problem-solving capabilities to push the digital boundaries.     Key Duties

    • Day-to-day curation & deployment of required social media content across (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram + TikTok.
    • Ideate & coordinate small scale digital content productions with the support of both internal & external teams in support of the brands’ low-fi & relatable content strategy.
    • Compile monthly content calendars, alongside the broader brand & merchandise teams, to be executed across but not limited to Facebook, Instagram & TikTok.
    • Conceptualize & brief all digital content requirements into the design studio in accordance with agreed lead times.
    • Work closely with Community Managers & Customer Service to actively seek out and act on engagement opportunities within our online communities.
    • Leverage & incentivize user generated content on our channels through the ideation & execution of competitions, giveaways or potential brand partnerships.
    • Stay ahead of social media trends, seamlessly integrating emerging engagement tactics into content strategies.
    • Deliver a monthly Social Media report, highlighting channel performance and key insights.

    Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

    • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
    • Matric and related tertiary education in digital content/marketing
    • Ability to manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram & TikTok) is essential
    • Experience with editing platforms such as CapCut, Canva & Adobe premier is advantageous.
    • Domain knowledge in retail, online advertising and eCommerce with strong affinity to Fashion, interiors & the Poetry brand.
