    Field Visual Merchandiser (JHB Area)

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a talented and creative Regional Visual Merchandiser with a keen eye for detail to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of VMs in a region to deliver the creative vision of the VM Brand Lead. This includes setting up striking window displays, in-store displays, and overall visual merchandising.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Participate in all national model stores and ensure learnings are shared with teams in your region.
    • Lead, plan, and set up regional model stores in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
    • Lead, plan, and set up regional workshops.
    • Lead, plan, and set up store refurbishments and store openings with the Operations Manager.
    • Lead, plan, and support regional sales initiatives.
    • Lead, plan, and execute marketing events in stores.
    • Support the installation of all window campaigns.
    • Manage team schedules and rollout schedules.
    • Manage all inventory of VM equipment and store equipment within the region.
    • Maintain strong product knowledge.
    • Perform seasonal mapping of sales floors to support all VM/merchandise shifts.
    • Guide store VMs on all launches, ensuring that windows, mannequins, and walls are dressed according to the VM guide, taking into consideration store size and product sell-throughs.
    • Ensure all product or promotional launches happen on time.
    • Conduct frequent store visits within your region with VMs and store managers, ensuring VM principles are maintained across windows, in-store displays, and sales floors.
    • Ensure stores are always ready for consumers, mystery shoppers, and Head Office visits.
    • Provide feedback on iAudit reports (replenishment, visual standards, layouts, windows, etc.).
    • Document all seasonal launches and present findings to the VM Apparel | Living Lead.
    • Document all store refurbishments and openings and present findings to the VM Brand Lead.
    • Build strong relationships with key department managers and stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Matric | Grade 12; relevant tertiary qualifications are advantageous.
    • 5+ years of retail experience as a VM, with the ability to follow brand guidelines and understand the basics of visual merchandising.
    • 3+ years managing a regional area as a VM.
    • Creative, commercially aware, and confident decision-maker with strong communication skills across all levels.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a broader team.
    • Adaptable to change and able to work at pace.
    • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and acts with integrity.
    • Strong organisation and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships easily.

    Shipping Controller - Contract

    Purpose:

    • As a Shipping Controller at Cape Union Mart, you are responsible for managing and coordinating all import and export shipping activities. This includes ensuring goods move efficiently and cost-effectively across international borders and arrive on time, in full compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring accurate documentation and tariff application
    • Managing relationships with freight service providers
    • Reconciling costings and payments

    Qualification & Experience

    • Required: Matric (Grade 12)

    Operations Information Administrator

     Purpose:

    • We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and organised Operations Information Administrator to join our National Operations team at our Cape Union Mart Head Office in Cape Town.
    • The Operations Information Administrator will be responsible for managing the scheduling and time & attendance system for Stores.  This will include working with data, analyzing information, and providing reports to the Operations Leadership team to support decision-making.
    • The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have experience with database management.

    • Act as the system administrator for the scheduling and time & attendance system (StoreForce) for Stores
    • Finalizing, preparing and exporting payroll files.
    • Maintain data, data processes, and data integrity for the Operations Department

    • Create reports and presentations that communicate data insights to key internal stakeholders.
    • Analyze data, identify key trends, and present findings and recommendations.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Proven knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office is crucial (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), especially working with Excel and PowerPoint
    • A knowledge of scheduling and time & attendance systems is preferred.
    • Experience working with databases would be beneficial.
