    Job Purpose
    To verify; authorize and release; prepare; capture; reconcile and confirm all inputs within service level obligations and in compliance with internal policies and procedures; timeously escalating issues when required to the Departmental Head; in line with Nedbanks business strategy.

    Associate: Sponsor

    Job Purpose
    To assist NCIB’s equity and debt sponsor clients and NCIB Corporate Finance/Advisory mandates with JSE-listed clients in implementing corporate actions from a regulatory perspective i.e. advising on the regulations (JSE Listings Requirements, South African Companies Act and Regulations, and King Code), ensuring compliance therewith, drafting the necessary documentation (SENS announcements and circulars to shareholders) and obtaining the approval of the relevant regulator (JSE and or Takeover Regulation Panel).

    Job Responsibilities

    • Give advice on the regulatory implications of M&A transactions (relevant regulations: JSE Listings Requirements, Companies Act and Regulations, and the King Code on Corporate Governance).
    • Assist the Corporate Finance team in putting together pitches, where there is a regulatory angle (requires proficiency in Powerpoint).
    • Draft all regulatory documentation (SENS announcements, circulars, Pre-Listing Statements, Prospectuses, Revised Listing Particulars, Listing Applications, Scheme of Arrangement circulars, Offeror Circulars, Offeree Response Circulars etc.).

    Data Modeller

    Job Purpose
    To design and maintain optimal data models/structures at both an enterprise and system / application level that meet the business and architectural objectives of the organisation.  To create structures that enable data to be persisted in a structured way to enable the value of the data to be unlocked.  To create appropriate data and class structures that enable the flow of data between providers and consumers.

    Job Responsibilities

    • 5-7 years' experience in a statistical and/or data science role

    Technical / Professional Knowledge

    • Deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, optimization or related field
    • Experience in Python(Must), R and one additional language (SAS, Java Lua, Clojure, Scala, etc)
    • Experience working with large data sets, simulation/ optimization and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.)
    • Experience in end to end Use case delivery
    • Ability to translate data narrative to business narrative
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong desire to work in cross functional teams
    • Attitude to thrive in a fun, fast-paced start-up like environment
    • ML Ops (Cloud Devops) is an added advantage.
    • ML Ops (ML engineering – running a Data Science platform) is an added advantage.
