    Digital Performance Manager (Northern Suburbs (Cape)

    Description

    • In this role, you will be responsible for driving the overall digital strategy to maximize user engagement, website traffic, and ultimately, omnichannel performance, including e-commerce conversion rates and in-store traffic/sales. This involves hands-on campaign creation, execution, and management across all digital channels, including social media, Google, and PEP’s websites.     JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS 

    • Proven track record in managing complex Paid Media campaigns (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook/Instagram Ads, and/or TikTok) with a clear focus on achieving target ROAS/CAC for both e-commerce and in-store objectives, including proficiency in offline conversion tracking and measurement.
    • Deep operational knowledge of major Ecommerce Platforms (eg: Shopify), including experience with inventory syncing, third-party app integration, and core platform marketing features.
    • Hands-on experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), including using tools like Google Optimize, Hotjar, execute, and analyze A/B tests on product pages, landing pages, and the checkout flow.

    • Direct experience managing product data feeds and ensuring data quality for channels like Google Shopping (Performance Max) and social media catalogs.
    • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and managing a team of digital marketing specialists, including setting performance goals and fostering career development.
    • Demonstrated experience managing external agencies or vendors, including defining scopes of work (SOWs), holding them accountable to KPIs, and optimizing partner performance.

    FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Data Integrity & Compliance: Act as the final authority on data accuracy, ensuring 100% variance reconciliation and zero incidents of POPIA non-compliance, including successful automation of "Right to be Forgotten" requests. Implement and maintain consent management and suppression data flows that feed correctly into Marketing Cloud exclusion logic
    • Operational Automation: Drive real-time business actions with a >95% success rate of Data Actions triggering journeys in Marketing Cloud.
    • Reporting, Analytics & Stakeholder Enablement:Build and maintain data pipelines that feed campaign performance dashboards in Marketing Intelligence (new SKU previously known as MCI) on Salesforce core platform. Present data architecture decisions, platform health metrics, and consumption reports to senior and executive stakeholders 

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
    • A Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification is required.
    • A Salesforce Data Architect or Marketing Cloud Consultant certification would be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or the Salesforce Ecosystem.
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically within Salesforce Data Cloud.
    • Proven track record in a high-volume Retail or Fintech environment managing millions of records.
    • Expert SQL Proficiency for complex Data Cloud Calculated Insights (PostgreSQL/Amazon Redshift syntax).
    • Expert understanding of Data Modeling, DMO mapping, and relational data models.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the MarTech Ecosystem, including Data Cloud interaction with Marketing Cloud and Personalization (Interaction Studio).
    • Strategic understanding of Identity Resolution (fuzzy vs. exact matching logic).
    • Literacy in consumption-based software models and budget optimization.
    • Practical application of POPIA and GDPR compliance within data architecture.
    • Experience with REST API and Streaming Ingestion into Data Cloud 
    • Knowledge of Marketing Cloud Connect configuration and Connected Audiences setup
    • Familiarity with event-driven architecture or real-time streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Apigee) for POS/Fintech source system integration
    • Understanding of GCP and Salesforce Data Cloud integration patterns, including BigQuery zero-copy connector, GCP-based data pipelines feeding Data Cloud, and the strategic value of the GCP + Salesforce "Better Together" approach to hyper-personalisation

    • PURPOSE OF POSITION: Leading a store team to meet business KPIs including driving sales, cost control,  mitigating risks and stock loss, administration and ensuring world class store standards. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Increase sales by focusing on customer service and world-class store standards, maintenance of the store image, stock management and promotional implementation
    • Stock loss is minimised by having a healthy store culture and following security measures, stock and cash handling procedures.
