• To analyze and create test requirements and test scenarios as per approved PPECB Testing strategy. 
• To plan and conduct efficient testing in order to deliver stable applications in line with business requirements and stakeholder satisfaction.
• To provide testing support to internal and external clients in line with the PPECB and ICT strategies related to the ICT solutions we provide them with 
• To maintain compliance with business systems and or processes to ensure compliance with applicable governance and best practices
• To provide input and comply with the risk management measures and risk exposure in the applications

Requirements

Qualifications

• 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology related to Software Testing/Development 

Experience

• Test analyst experience 3 years
• Experience in DevSecOps processes 2 years
• Experience in complex technology environment. 3 years
• Experience in Agile methodology 4 years
• Experience in testing Application security 3 years
• Experience in testing API integrations 3 years
• Experience in testing Mobile Applications developed in Xamarin Forms 3 years
• Experience in programming languages, preferably C# 5 years
• Experience in a cloud environment, preferably Azure 1 year
• Experience in ITIL

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supervision of staff and operations in both the Cold Chain and Inspection value streams related to the specified geographical area.
• Ensuring adequate competency levels of staff within the Harmonization framework.
• Inspection and certification of perishable products.
• Inspection of the handling, storage and transport of perishable products.
• Coordinating compliance to prescribed processes, procedures and protocols within the framework of the Agricultural Product Standards Act.
• Coordinating compliance to prescribed processes, procedures and protocols within the framework of the Perishable Products Export Control Board Act.
• Ensure correct application of quality management systems, procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure adherence to Service Level agreements. 
• Ensuring effective two- way communication internal and external. 
• Performance management of those reporting into the role within the framework of the PPECB performance motivation framework.
• Administrative tasks and reporting related to the execution of services.
• Accept the responsibility of continuous self- improvement in their area of responsibility according to the PPECB performance system.

Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in an agricultural or related discipline with at least 7 years relevant work experience. Please note: Candidates with less experience, but with proven outstanding performance will be considered in line with PPECB’s EE policy. 
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of all cold chain services relevant to the specified geographical area.
• Proven competence and experience of citrus and grapes inspection would be compulsory.
• Proven exposure to pumpkins, fresh dates, pomegranates, grain and dried fruits will be advantageous.
• Experience as acting chief inspector within the inspections and cold chain disciplines would be advantages
• Successful completion of LDP will be advantageous.
• Operational planning; training and organizing skills.
• Good communication skills and a team player.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proven track record of taking ownership enabled by responsible and accountable behavior.
• A valid code 08 driving license and own reliable vehicle.
