    Portfolio Support Manager

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Public administration or Public Management or Engineering qualifications (NQFL 7).
    • 3-5 years’ experience with a proven track record in Business Administration.
    • Familiarity with process and key stakeholders related to Public Finance Management act, Water Services Act, and the think tank community.

    Primary Duties

    • Compile annual business and operational plans and other related documents for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
    • Submission for annual business and operational plan for approval by the Business Unit Head.
    • Compile periodic statutory and regulatory reports for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
    • Compile annual budget for the Group Strategy Business Unit (OPEX, Supplementary, Minor works).
    • Manage and control annual budget and spending patterns in accordance with annual procurement plan.
    • Ensure timely submission of periodic expenditure reports (monthly/ quarterly/ bi-annual/ annual) for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
    • Compile Lead Schedule and Checklist templates for the Group Strategy Business Unit (monthly).
    • Ensure accuracy and correctness of FWIE reports for approval by the Business Unit Head.
    • Ensure timely submission of periodic FWIE reports (monthly/ quarterly/ bi-annual/ annual) for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
    • Compile compliance reports as required by the Corporate Compliance Business Unit.
    • Ensure timely response to all audit queries/ findings.
    • Ensure that HR KPIs are populated accurately with information from HR reports (monthly/ quarterly/ bi-annual/ annual).
    • Identify, assess, monitor, evaluate and report on Business Unit risk register.
    • Maintain and update the risk register with controls to mitigate identified risks.
    • Compile annual procurement plan for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
    • Facilitate Business Unit procurement process from initiation to completion.
    • Quality assures all submissions and reports for approval by the Business Unit Head.
    • Serve as focal point for all submission that require the approval of the Business Unit Head.
    • Liaison with other Divisional Heads within the Business Unit for collaborative efforts, policy development and any other identified strategic initiatives.
    • Manage administrative staff within the Business Unit.
    • Ensure timely and quality of work submitted in the implementation of ad hoc activities.

    Workshop Stores Assistant (Civil)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • 2 years relevant experience as an Artisan Assistant/Workshop environment.
    • Valid Code EB driver's license and the ability to pass Rand Water's K53 driver test.

    Primary Duties

    • Maintain stock level of material and stock.
    • Security of stores Keep proper records of material and Spares.
    • Draw material and spares from stores.
    • Keep store in order, neat and clean.
    • Issue tools, materials and equipment to Artisans as requested.
    • Responsible for daily vehicle checks, security and control over allocated tools and equipment, safe operation of workshop machines, report all health and safety defects. Check portable electrical tools, hand tools and fire extinguishers.
    • Report any defects or missing equipment to Supervisor.
    • Assist Carpenters with repairing and replacing of door locks, plaguing of swollen doors, repairing of cupboard locks, fixing of notice boards and broken window panes replace.
    • Assist Bricklayers to do patchwork on plastering. Minor brickwork eg. Small manholes and holes in brickwork, mix concrete and mortar, Plaster brick walls and Finish-off building work.
    • General Housekeeping duties.

    Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications required:

    • NQF (7) degree in Economics/Social Science/Public Administration or related field.
    • Post Graduate Qualification in Statistics/Quantitative Measurement/Monitoring and Evaluation would be an added advantage.

    Experience required:

    • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation field.
    • 5 - 8 years’ experience in implementing of Enterprise-wide Monitoring and Evaluation system.

    Primary Duties

    • Develop and implement a results-based M&E framework and methodology.
    • Determine outcomes, outputs, indicators, baseline data, targets and a plan to monitor and evaluate performance and produce timely, accurate and complete reports.
    • Ensure that the M&E tools are adaptable to use to improve activity performance and that relevant and timely M&E information is provided in user-friendly formats to key stakeholders.
    • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to measure the performance, impact, and sustainability of relevant project.
    • Facilitate development and implementation of the project’s M&E performance monitoring plan and budget to effectively track project activities, outcomes, and results.
    • Develop effective M&E information systems to support monitoring activities, and periodically review and revise the system so that it is adapted appropriately to changing operating contexts.
    • Implement an automated M&E system with the following, but not limited to, features.
    • Program and Project Dashboard Indicators
    • Document Management tools for attachment of documents
    • Inbuilt analysis template with import and export functionality MS Excel
    • Inbuilt template for report generation
    • Self-service (SS) online & offline portal for each project and program
    • Automated email notifications for level two analyses, review & approval
    • The system should be usable in both online and offline contexts and cross platforms compatible with mobile capability (Android / IOS)
    • Develop and maintain project databases to capture relevant data on key indicators.
    • Conduct periodic routine data quality assessments and implement corrective actions to address gaps identified.
    • Produce regular, timely progress reports of strategic project activities and results.
    • Engage with other programme/ project staff in developing and implementing annual project work plans.
    • Identify short-term M&E technical assistance needs, develop scopes of work for these assignments.
    • Contribute to the dissemination and utilisation of project results to inform project operations and share lessons learned within Rand Water and the sector.

    Bench Supervisor Field and Customer Services

    Minimum Requirements

    • NQF 7: BSc Degree in Biology / Chemical or Natural Sciences
    • NQF 6 in Management
    • At least 5 years practical experience working in an SANAS accredited analytical laboratory

    Primary Duties

    • Managing of sampling and customer services as well as its staff to ensure optimal utilisation of all resources (Finance, equipments, consumables etc.) to meet Laboratory Customer Services client requirements (i.e., water sampling programme).
    • Production of field data and its associated quality control measures that comply with the ISO 17025 and the Blue/Green Drop Certification requirements.
    • Design and implementation of production workflow structures (including LIMS application), and optimise allocation of resources for routine sampling, method development and special investigations.
    • Initiate, plan and priorities scheduled work activities, and maintenance of equipment.
    • Supervise all safety and quality (SHEQ) aspects of the laboratory processes and ensure compliance to applicable standards (ISO 17025, ISO 9000, ISO 18001, ISO 14001).
