Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Public administration or Public Management or Engineering qualifications (NQFL 7).
3-5 years’ experience with a proven track record in Business Administration.
Familiarity with process and key stakeholders related to Public Finance Management act, Water Services Act, and the think tank community.
Primary Duties
Compile annual business and operational plans and other related documents for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
Submission for annual business and operational plan for approval by the Business Unit Head.
Compile periodic statutory and regulatory reports for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
Compile annual budget for the Group Strategy Business Unit (OPEX, Supplementary, Minor works).
Manage and control annual budget and spending patterns in accordance with annual procurement plan.
Ensure timely submission of periodic expenditure reports (monthly/ quarterly/ bi-annual/ annual) for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
Compile Lead Schedule and Checklist templates for the Group Strategy Business Unit (monthly).
Ensure accuracy and correctness of FWIE reports for approval by the Business Unit Head.
Ensure timely submission of periodic FWIE reports (monthly/ quarterly/ bi-annual/ annual) for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
Compile compliance reports as required by the Corporate Compliance Business Unit.
Ensure timely response to all audit queries/ findings.
Ensure that HR KPIs are populated accurately with information from HR reports (monthly/ quarterly/ bi-annual/ annual).
Identify, assess, monitor, evaluate and report on Business Unit risk register.
Maintain and update the risk register with controls to mitigate identified risks.
Compile annual procurement plan for the Group Strategy Business Unit.
Facilitate Business Unit procurement process from initiation to completion.
Quality assures all submissions and reports for approval by the Business Unit Head.
Serve as focal point for all submission that require the approval of the Business Unit Head.
Liaison with other Divisional Heads within the Business Unit for collaborative efforts, policy development and any other identified strategic initiatives.
Manage administrative staff within the Business Unit.
Ensure timely and quality of work submitted in the implementation of ad hoc activities.
