    Millwright - Pretoria West

    • RCL FOODS is seeking a Millwright  to join our Baking Division. The role will be based in Pretoria West and reports to the Maintenance Manager. 

    Minimum Requirements    
    Qualifications and experience 

    • Millwright Trade
    • 3 or more years of post-trade experience 
    • PLC/VSD Drives experience
    • Experience with panel wiring 
    • Ability to prioritize workload 
    • Report writing and analysis on job
    • Mentoring apprentices 
    • Must be able to work shifts and be available on callouts and standby 
    • Driver’s license with own transport 
    • Hands on experience with installation, maintenance and repairs of machinery such as mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, slicers and packaging equipment.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not
    • Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.

    Senior Despatch Controller

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized Senior Despatch Controller within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be responsible for organizing the day to day operation of the company’s despatch department. This includes ensuring all procedures are followed as per all standard operating procedures, overseeing cash sales, damage sales, loading and offloading of trucks and other related record-keeping.
    • This role will be based in Durban and reporting to the General Manager.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education and Qualification:

    • Matric
    • Tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management

    Experience and Training:

    • Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience in distribution
    • FMCG experience
    • Experience working with JDE advantageous
    • Good numeracy
    • Good computer literacy – especially Excel and e-mail

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Despatch Sales

    • Manage and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures related to cash sales and damage sales

    Loading of Trucks

    • Manage and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures related to loading of trucks

    Returns

    • Manage and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures related to returns and damages

    Crate Control

    • Manage the full control crate function and ensure accurate daily reporting

    Cost Control

    • Assist to prepare annual budget prior to start of new financial year
    • Monitor and control expenses against budget and report on deviations
    • Ensure cost efficiency with regards to expenditure

    Transactional duties

    • Ensure accurate stock count after every shift
    • Analyze and report on variances with regards to stock counts

    People Management

    SHEQ Administrator FTC

We are seeking a talented SHEQ Administrator FTC (Fixed Term Contract) to join our team in Speciality Spartan Kempton Park. This role reports into the Senior QAT. This position will support FSMS by administering data collected.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric/Grade 12 with an administration qualification.
    • Minimum of 2 – 3 experience in a similar role will be advantageous.
    • Mathematical and statistical Acumen.
    • Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel graphs, Power point, Q-pulse), Sheqx advantageous.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Create new, amend, publish, and upload Food Safety Management System documentation and report monthly on numbers.
    • Controlling documents for FSMS & H&S system (1 document :5 minute).
    • Assist cleaning supervisor with compiling CSOP draft on word format and cleaning supervisor send them out for approval.
    • Changing of all documents to “RCL group services” (1 document:5 minutes). 
    • Equipment calibration.
    • Assist with workflow for the equipment calibrations (Mass pieces; scales; pH meter; hygrometer; oil Testor; Metal detectors; x-ray & thermometers) according to log sheet.
    • Ensure the calibration log sheet is up to date.
    • Call & communicate with suppliers of all the equipment (Mass pieces; scales; pH meter; hygrometer; oil Testor; Metal detectors; x-ray &thermometers) that needs to be calibrated to come on site and do calibration.
    • Arrange and send equipment for calibration.
    • Opening of NCR’s, Follow up of NCR’s, Weekly NCR Tracker.
    • Assist QAT’s to log all complaints onto the SheqX system together with feedback report.
    • Raise all internal/external audits NCRs onto the SheqX.
    • Facilitate the weekly technical reports and tracker.
    • Update the customer complaints dashboard.
    • Update the NCR tracker and share weekly.
    • Update yearly internal audit schedule.
    • Obtaining sales reports for monthly report.
    • Creating BR’s on the tracker & Workflows (e.g., For Orders).
    • Creating workflows for Microchem, Scientific pest control service and other adhoc service provider.
    • Sheqx Overall Administration.
    • Upload document on Sheq-x · Creating users.
    • Arranging & Collecting Stationary as required.
    • Monthly reports.
    • Trending micro results (Environmental Swab Results: TVC, Coliforms, E. coli); Hand Swab Capturing, Product Results, Water Results, Listeria Results, Cleaning Efficiency.

    • Verify that weekly thermometer verification is done and sign off record.
    • Ensure verification and calibration records and Certificates Updates and Filing.

    Senior Laboratory Technologist

    • RCL FOODS is seeking to employ a Senior Laboratory Technologist for their Milling Division. The role will be based in Pretoria and will report into the Quality and Food Safety Manager.
    • The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations, maintain the laboratory's management system, maintain quality control, coordinate with various stakeholders, manage laboratory staff, and report on lab activities and performance. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results, as well as maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • NQF Level 7 Advanced Diplomas or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry.
    • Minimum 6 years of experience in Laboratory and Operational Execution.
    • Must have Supervisory/Management experience.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Leadership, Training & Development:

    Technical Expertise:

    • Provide technical guidance on analysis, including method development and troubleshooting, and interpret results to identify trends and provide recommendations.
    • Conduct witness tests and ensure accurate and reliable results.

    Project Management:

    • Manage laboratory-related projects and continuous improvement interventions, monitoring project phases against deliverables and resolving bottlenecks.
    • Analyze project reports and conduct post-evaluation exercises to determine impact and results.

    Supplier Quality Assurance/Contractor Management:

    • Provide input into supply contracts, select suppliers, and ensure stock records are maintained.
    • Complete buying requisitions, stay updated on technology, and safeguard consumables stores.

    Incident Reporting & Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of incidents and ensure timely investigation, corrective actions and reporting.

    Financial Management:

    • Draw up the annual budget, conduct costings for tests, and initiate cost-cutting initiatives.
    • Identify CAPEX requirements and implement approved programs.
