    Shift Co-Ordinator

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is seeking a skilled Shift Co-Ordinator to join our Groceries Division in Randfontein. The role will be reporting to the Unit Manager.
    • The purpose of the role is to manage the entire Sorghum Milling & Packing, including all aspects relating to people, products, raw material and quality, ensuring the production and packing of products in line with the production plan and according to RCL FOODS safety and quality standards.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Minimum of NQF Level 5 tertiary qualification (Higher Certificate).
    • Operations/Business Management Qualification will be advantageous.
    • Min 5 years relevant experience in a FMCG food production environment.
    • Experience in the management of a unionised workforce.
    • Working knowledge on MS Office.
    • Demonstrative leadership skills and competencies.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    Production Management:

    • Agrees and implements the production plan with the Unit Manager and planning and can make production decisions within the production plan. (e.g. if a production line breaks down, prioritizes production requirements and re-allocates labor accordingly).
    • Analyses shift results and implements any necessary changes to increase production.
    • Ensures that quality standards are implemented and adhered to.
    • Diagnoses plant problems (fault finding) and liaises with Engineering Foreman for plant repairs.
    • Conduct daily production meetings with the team to analyze previous shift results and implement any necessary changes to meet demand.
    • Responsible for ensuring sufficient staff and adequate raw materials.
    • Interprets fault finding to optimize production.
    • Monitors operational efficiencies and recommends and implements corrective action to improve operational efficiencies.
    • Identifies causes and costs of waste, contamination and inefficiencies and reports to the Unit Manager.

    Artisan Fitter - Pongola

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is searching for an Artisan Fitter to join our Foods Division team based in Pongola, Kwazulu Natal. The successful incumbent will report to the Extraction Engineer.
    • This position requires an individual with extensive knowledge, experience, and insightfulness of the Mills to deliver mechanical maintenance on the dewatering mills, ancillary and extraction equipment.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Trade test certificate (Mechanical Fitting / Fitting & Turning), with a minimum of N2 certificate and proof of the successful completion of a formal Institutionalised Training Programme is essential.
    • Dewatering mill fitting experience would be an added advantage.
    • Three years working experience as a trade tested Artisan Fitter/Fitter & Turner.

    Raw Creditors Clerk

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is on the hunt for an experienced Raw Creditors Clerk to join our dynamic Commercial team, based at our Randfontein site in Gauteng.
    • The successful incumbent will report to the Assistant Accountant and will be responsible for maintaining the records of every supplier (vendor) that enters a transaction with the Group. Responsible for ensuring that a sound creditors function is maintained and that the company complies with all creditor’s standards.

    • RCL FOODS is seeking a highly skilled and efficient Chief Buyer (In Development) to join the Sugar Division. The role will report to the Procurement Manager and will be based in Malelane.
    • This role forms part of the Malalane Manufacturing Management team that manages site procurement (buyers and stores team) to ensure correct order quantities, cost savings, correct specifications, correct suppliers and appropriate stock levels in stores.
