    Duties & Responsibilities    
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Picking and Issuing:

    • Requesting (SSR) or picking the correct materials from designated staging areas in the P& I warehouses and issuing them to the production department. 

    Inventory Tracking:

    • Maintaining accurate daily records of stock levels, movements, and any discrepancies or usage variances using the specified inventory management systems. 

    Receiving and Storing:

    • Receiving incoming materials timeously, verifying against planned production orders, and ensuring proper storage and availability for production lines.

    Dispatching:

    • Preparing and sorting materials for dispatch to production lines, potentially including re-packing and labelling. 

    Logistics Support:

    • Assisting with the logistics related to Raw material inventory, such as stock transfers, cycle counts and assisting with returns or collections. 

    Inventory Adjustments:

    • Making necessary adjustments to inventory records due for returns to warehouse, blocked for scrap, or other factors. 

    Coordination & Communication:

    Working with other departments, such as purchasing, production, and quality control across various tasks which include but are not limited to:

    • Verifying received goods against picking slip (SSR).
    • Logging received stock into the inventory system in support of stores team.
    • Review and clearance of variances in consumption
    • Monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies or shortages to stores supervisor and production supervisors.
    • Returning of unused raw materials to storage area.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Key Responsibilities

    Receiving

    • Receive materials and stock items in a compliant and timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with established procedures and Company standards in maintaining effective control over the physical product flow into the warehouse.
    • Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained.
    • Accept all deliveries of stock for the warehouse including ensuring that they are not damaged, the cold chain has been maintained and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.

    Management Accountant

    • The role requires an analytical individual with commercial and operations experience. The Management Accountant will be dealing with key issues in providing support and technical input to the commercial and ops teams to deliver insightful analysis, drive process improvement (operations and reporting) in line with the RCL strategy and ultimately maximize business value. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Minimum B.COM Accounting/Management Accounting (non-negotiable)
    • At least 2 years operational cost and management accounting experience.  
    • Manufacturing experience would be a ideal.
    • SAP and PowerBI experience 

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Through close interaction with senior management, commercial and financial accounting teams, operations and other functional stakeholders, deliver on the following:
    CAPEX MANAGEMENT

    • Overall responsibility for the Capex process and adherence to the relevant Limits of Authority for the Division.
    • Review all capex applications prior to submission and provide commercial / business case input as appropriate
    • Calculation of return on investment for proposed business plan capital projects in order to assist management with prioritization of Capex, and ensuring that capital business plans are aligned with group allocation of funds
    • Coordinate post capex implementation reviews
    • Manage actual vs target vs forecast spend monthly
    • Submit all required capex-based reporting to RCL HO in accordance with the national time scheduling and guidelines

    COST CENTRE MANAGEMENT / SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

    • Overall cost centre management and maintenance
    • Cost reviews and Variance analysis
    • Empower cost centre owners to manage their spend through maintenance, development and monitoring of appropriate trackers
    • Identification and management of cost saving opportunities Tracking cost and efficiency initiatives Month-end close reviews
    • Review and maintain rate tables in the ERP where required

    REPORTING

    • Weekly performance Dashboards & Trackers
    • Drafting inputs to flash reporting, dashboards, variance analysis reports & commentary Savings pipelines tracking and reporting
    • Draft deliverables including quantitative analysis and explanations for deviations against demonstrated norms
    • Driving the month-end timetable i.e. stock counts
    • Ad hoc reporting where required

    BOM MANAGEMENT

    • Maintain product costing system.
    • Develop, oversee and drive momentum of continuous BOM and routing audit processes to be conducted by Processing and QA resources.
    • Support initiatives designed to control costs and maximise profitability.
    • Review and provide insight into proposed changes to product costs (as a result of trials or change in specifications) and new product proposals.
    • Maintain the integrity and support proper execution of the NPD approval process for BOM changes/additions.
    • Load new BOM’s for trial codes requested from Master Data Calculate and implement any approved changes to product costing, clearly outlining the impact of such changes on the cost base and ultimately, profitability.
    • Monitor, review and provide feedback on the actual impact of changes that have been made and new product costing as part of the “post launch” process

    BUDGETING AND FORECASTING

    • Maintain / develop flexible and robust forecasting tools and models supporting the annual business plan and quarterly forecasting processes for all operations in accordance with the national time scheduling and guidelines
    • Expense business plan for the service functions of the operations in line with national guidelines and economic indicators
    • Reporting of the business plan and quarterly forecasts according to the formats supplied by National Office Assist with the preparation, consolidation and review of plans and budgets for the unit (Operational and Capex).
    • Aids operations regarding general budgeting and financial reporting needs, including business plans, costing and pricing proposals, etc.

    STOCK CONTROL

    • Coordinate the process of weekly stock count and communicate with related teams
    • Investigate stock variances and take corrective action
    • Assess the stock control procedures on a continuous basis ensuring proper internal controls
    • Compile reformulation variance reports and tracking of corrective actions
    • Analyse and report to HO monthly reformulation variance including explanations Initiate corresponding financial entries regarding stock take variances

    GOVERNANCE

    • Ensure that RCL Foods ethical standards and the requirements of the RPM are adhered to Report and or escalate any areas of non- compliance appropriately

    Cashbook Clerk - Durban

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and numerically focused Cashbook Clerk within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be responsible to provide accounting support and insight for the relevant customer principal/depot. To keep track of the business units financial transactions. Using standardized guidelines, the transactions are recorded, summarized, and presented in a financial report or financial statement.
    • This role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Commercila Financial Manager.
    • This role is a Permanent role.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education:

    • NQF level 4/5, Matric 

    Experience:

    • 1yrs experience in a credit control and cash handling environment

    General

    • Proficient in MSExcel
    • Previous experience of JDE or an ERP system advantageous.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Daily Receipts Processing

    • Receive and Process Credit Notes, Discounts ensure that these documents have been authorised 
    • Count all cash from drivers under the view of the camera system and capture on Driver cash up  spreadsheet
    • Follow up on any shortages and gather reasons for driver shortages these are to be reported within 24 hrs (Contact Driver / Driver Supervisor to Identify Reasons for Short Payment)
    • Receipt cash up into the drivers JDE customer account
    • Process authorised petty cash payments 
    • Issue petty cash for authorised casual wage expenditure 

    General Processing

    • Maintain filing system 
    • Ordering and issuing of company pre-printed stationary 

    Cash Handling

    • Accurate counting of cash and reconciling of daily banking
    • Daily reconciliation of cash vault machine

    Minimum Requirements

    • Demonstrated expertise in working with complex ERP systems; proficiency in relevant modules and advanced reporting features is essential.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Monthly Employee Cost Reporting: Prepare, review, and distribute comprehensive monthly employee cost reports using the company’s ERP system, ensuring accuracy and clarity for stakeholders at all management levels. Reporting will be compiled for various divisions & explain key deviations.
    • Data Integrity & Validation: Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure that employee-related data is complete, up-to-date, and accurately reflected within the ERP system.
    • Business Insight Generation: Analyze trends, variances, and drivers of employee costs, translating findings into clear, actionable business insights that facilitate cost management, budgeting, and strategic workforce planning.
    • Leverage deep knowledge of our ERP system to extract, manipulate, and interpret employee cost data, optimizing reporting processes through automation and best practices. This will include development of automated employee cost dashboards & assist with BI development on other key cost metrics and developing fully integrated commercial reporting dashboards used to control costs within the business.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for management and department heads regarding employee cost information; provide consultative support, respond to ad hoc queries, and deliver regular presentations on findings.
    • HR compliance (overtime and rest periods) – embed controls and procedures to ensure employee cost remain within plan.
    • Daily and weekly pro-active reporting on employee cost overtime.
    • Assist with ad-hoc commercial analysis & contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing the company’s fixed cost structure, supporting ERP upgrades, and integrating new workforce analytics tools.
    • Optimize spent into BBBEE.
    • Wage, salaries and benefits calculator into negotiations.
    • Identify and implement improvements in reporting methodologies, data visualization, and analytical approaches to enhance the value and usability of employee cost insights.
    • Uphold the highest standards of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance when handling employee information and cost data.
    • Serve as a super user for the company's ERP system, acting as the primary subject matter expert for employee cost modules.
    • Provide user support, troubleshoot system issues, train new users, and collaborate with IT on ERP enhancements, updates, and testing. Participate in system configuration and process documentation to ensure best practices are followed and knowledge is effectively shared across the business
