    Workshop Scheduler- S3

    The Role:

    • Provide administrative functions which support in coordinating, planning, and tracking production activities to improve turnaround times; and resolve any bottlenecks in a timely manner for production activities to be executed seamlessly.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Create, maintain, and adjust schedules based on project requirements on various platforms (e.g. bay boards, electronic project plans etc.) in-line with company policies and procedures
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather information necessary for scheduling of production activities.
    • Communicate schedule changes to all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
    • Create and update tracking reports on (e.g. Purchase Order report and Goods Received Notes report etc.) for ease of access
    • Monitor hours on the jobs to ensure that quote specifications are met and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders for resolution.
    • Generate and disseminate ad hoc reports as required by the stakeholders
    • Plan production meetings and invite relevant stakeholders
    • Take minutes during production and other related meetings
    • Participate in preparation for ISO and SHEQ audits as and when required
    • Participate in the close out of findings from safety audits

    Your Profile:

    • Grade 12/equivalent qualification.
    • Project Management qualification advantageous
    • 1 – 2 years’ experience in production planning
    • 2 years business administration experience
    • Intermediate MS Excel and Project Management experience
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
    • Attentive to detail
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • English proficiency
    • Valid driver's license

    Trainee Skills Analyst

    The Role

    • A Skills Analyst evaluates employee skills, identifies gaps, and supports targeted development through data-driven insights. They work closely with Learning & Development and Technical Training Dpt to align training programs with organizational needs, using tools and frameworks to track and report on skill progression.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct assessments and map out employee skills across roles, identifying areas of strength and gaps to support targeted development.
    • Gather and analyze data on employee skills, training outcomes, and performance to uncover insights on training effectiveness and skill progression.
    • Develop reports and visual dashboards that provide HR and management with clear insights into skill levels, training impact, and growth areas.
    • To align training programs with the organization’s skill needs, creating pathways to bridge identified skills gaps.
    • Help define and regularly update competency models for various roles, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
    • Conduct research and benchmarking to compare the organization’s skill levels with industry standards, informing strategies to stay competitive.
    • Assess the effectiveness of training programs, using post-training assessments and performance data to recommend adjustments that improve results.
    • Identify and implement software tools for skills assessment, data tracking, and reporting to streamline skills management.
    • Share findings with leadership, HR, and department heads, providing actionable insights and guidance for addressing skills gaps.
    • Regularly review and refine skills assessment processes, aligning them with regulatory requirements and supporting the organization’s growth and adaptability.
    • Facilitate training programs for core competencies.

    Profile Required

    • N6 /Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
    • 1 Year Experience in Trackless Mobile Equipment
    • Section 13/26D Trade Certificate with proof of Modules
    • Critical and Analytical thinker with attention to Detail

    Fettler

    • We are looking for a hardworking and multi-skilled individual to join our team as a Fettler. 
    • The role will report into the Fabrication Manager. The role will be based from our offices in Spartan, Kempton Park.

    Purpose of the role:

    • To operate grinding equipment and grind steel components according to instructions.

    The job responsibilities:

    • Responsible to operate grinding tools and see that they are well maintained.
    • Responsible to remove excess material, spatter or burrs from surfaces, round sharp edges to prepare them for welding or fitting.
    • Responsible to use the correct size grinding or cutting disk.
    • Responsible to flapper grind.
    • Responsible to maintain good housekeeping in your work areas on a continuous basis.
    • Responsible to operate within the health and safety requirements prescribed by Kwatani and OHSAct and report any accident, injury or near miss that could have resulted in an accident to your foreman.

    Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Grade 12 /Matric Certificate or equivalent
    • 3 - 5 years' fettling/grinding experience obtained in a metal industry operations.
    • A valid crane operating license will be an added advantage

    • Basic understanding of vibrating equipment.
