    Security Operations Manager - METAP

    In this role you will:

    • deliver exemplary security support services to multiple sites, including the deployment of high-performing guard teams.
    • respond to local incidents in a professional, timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the delivery of day-to-day physical security operations across multiple sites, including overseeing the deployment of local teams (guard, reception, and/or SOC services) commensurate with the risk profile and operational demands of each site.
    • Ensure site risk assessment documentation remains accurate and up-to-date.
    • Respond to physical security incidents at sites within the region, including incident reporting and after-action-reviews, and where necessary, conduct robust investigations to effectively assess and triage.
    • Plan and lead physical security onboarding and training of security personnel at sites within the region to ensure highly professional and consistent service delivery.
    • Support the management of guarding vendors. Ensure high quality operational vendor performance in line with key performance indicators (KPIs) and support with invoices and purchase requisitions/orders.
    • Deliver interactive and engaging employee security awareness training and participate in table-top exercises.
    • Update and maintain site emergency response plans covering response protocols for medical, fire, and other workplace emergencies.
    • Support the event security program, including conducting offsite venue risk assessments, to help promote a safe, consistent and structured approach to event management.
    • Support new office projects including security design of office space.
    • Strong liaison relationships with local first responders and law enforcement. Establish and maintain cooperative operating procedures with property management staff related to emergency building evacuations and other site incidents.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in corporate security (as a contractor or full-time employee), with at least 2+ years in a security management role.
    • Undergraduate/Master's degree (and/or equivalent experience).
    • Experience managing security operations across multiple sites with a track record of high performance and increasing responsibilities.
    • Technically astute with working knowledge of physical access control systems, video management systems, and visitor management systems.
    • Ability to update and maintain robust site documentation including checklists, post orders, and standard operating procedures.
    • Experience supporting new office security deliverables (e.g. Conducting risk assessments, high-level design of access control, CCTV and other technical security controls).
    • Experience participating in guarding RFPs and supervising contract personnel, including hiring, training, developing, and managing performance.

    TikTok Content Operations Lead- Sub-Saharan Africa

    As TikTok Content Operations Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa you will partner with the GM of METAP and other regional heads on ways we can support, innovate and effectively grow our content ecosystem in this market. You will also track, manage and report on our content partnership ecosystem and its impact on the platform.

    The successful candidate will have a background in developing creator communities and entrepreneurial experience. You also have the instincts to understand and implement new content formats that drive explosive audience engagement. Having a track record of bringing content ideas to life preferably through social platforms, the latest apps and tools is preferable but not mandatory.

    Responsibilities:

    • Adapt global and regional content strategies by applying insights from local markets.

    Tax Manager

    Position Summary:
    TikTok is seeking an enthusiastic Tax Manager to join the Tax team in South Africa to support its rapid business growth in Africa. The ideal candidate must have experience in both direct & indirect taxes compliance in the South Africa, possesses strong tax technical skills, in order to work seamlessly together with colleagues in multiple departments (e.g. Legal, Finance) to support our business teams in developing comprehensive and practical tax solutions.

    Experience in the taxation of the digital economy and e-commerce is a big plus, to add valuable input across various taxes (CIT, VAT, WHT, DST) in business projects across multiple jurisdictions in a fast pace environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in tax compliance requirements and procedures in the South Africa and/or any other African countries, if required.
    • Act as a point-of contact with the local Tax Authority and Tax Advisor, handle and manage the local tax compliance filing, especially value added tax ("VAT"), Corporate Income Tax, withholding tax filing procedures.
    • Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, regulations and judicial decisions that impact the company operations and financial positions.
    • Perform tax validation, data reconciliation, VAT General Ledger accounts review on input tax and output tax and matching with the tax return(s), identify tax compliance issues/ red flags and provide recommendations/ practical solutions.
    • Preliminary review of draft monthly/quarterly/ annual local tax returns prepared by external advisors.
    • Support tax team to conduct periodical tax compliance checks on business units and highlight areas of exceptions with document compliance requirements.
    • Support in conducting tax training sessions with various stakeholders as and when required.
    • Provide tax advice/support on various service lines / business projects.

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of progressive tax working experience in South Africa, with large MNC/Big4 with Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation (or professional qualifications).
    • TMT/ technology industry working experience is a plus
    • Must have solid South African tax knowledge and analytical skills
    • Sufficient tax experience in any other African countries is a plus
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment independently
    • Detail-oriented individual, a good team player, honest, adaptable, keen-learner, diligent, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
