    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Qualified diesel mechanic and or trade test certificates advantageos

    Workshop manager – FM1698 (Hoedspruit)

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12, Mechanical qualification would be advantageous.
    • Basic knowledge of all types of welding and engines

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS

    • Manage and develop maintenance team.
    • Schedule and oversee the workshop staff.
    • Increase the operational effectiveness, equipment availability and life cycle cost of machinery and equipment through preventative maintenance.
    • Be responsible for procurement, workflow planning, execution of projects on time and within budget.
    • Manage systems and processes that track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
    • Systematically monitor movement of farm vehicles using vehicle tracking software and develop reporting systems to improve productivities in the use of these vehicles.
    • Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
    • Oversee the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and checklists for machinery. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities.
    • Produce written reports to the Agricultural manager in terms of maintenance actions and costs. Perform minor maintenance work, including maintenance and repair of machinery, other mechanical equipment, gates, roads, dams, pumps and vehicles.
    • Diagnose and manage the technical repair and maintenance of all vehicles and agricultural machinery.
    • Management and motivation of all personnel under your control.
    • Manage the procurement of all materials and goods as needed for this function.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer (minimum 2 years’ experience)

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    Operations

    • Ensure the department operates at peak efficiency and productivity, consistently meeting or surpassing established targets.
    • Take charge of administrative operations and logistics coordination to guarantee a seamless workflow.
    • Monitor and enforce strict adherence to established regulations, including administrative procedures and logistics coordination. Ensure correct operational protocols such as cold room temperatures, truck seals, and storage procedures are consistently followed.
    • Oversee and manage the efficient and punctual dispatch of goods from the packhouse to customers.
    • Monitor and enforce the application of FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures within specified timeframes (24 hours, 48 hours, 78 hours +).
    • Regularly conduct reconciliations for Lugs, Crates, Dunnage Bags, and Transporters.
    • Oversee the entire outbound logistics process, from order processing to final pallet delivery. Monitor and optimize warehouse and cold room layouts for optimal space utilization.

    Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure that management objectives are fulfilled by addressing non-conformances identified in internal audits. Responsively act upon audit results to drive ongoing enhancements in operational efficiency.
    • Maintain hygiene levels according to established standards, evidenced by Quality Management System (QMS) reports and regular walkabouts.
    • Monitor, evaluate and uphold compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet client expectations.
    • Manage and ensure compliance with company requirements for purchases, service providers, and other operational aspects. Regularly review and update procurement and operational policies to align with company standards and industry best practices.

    Communication and Reporting 

    • Ensure timely and accurate communication with the logistics team, transporters, other relevant parties, and the management team.

    • Conduct thorough performance evaluations, assessing staff against Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Provide constructive feedback to encourage professional development.
    • Implement overall effective discipline and absenteeism management strategies within the team to maintain a high level of accountability and attendance.
    • Lead, train, evaluate, mentor, and discipline staff to cultivate a high-performing and motivated team. Provide clear direction and support for professional growth.
    • Oversee equipment maintenance schedules, ensuring that all tools and technology essential for dispatch operations are in optimal working condition. Implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
    • Will be required to work shifts. Including night shift.

    Health and Safety 

    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety lawful requirements. Adhere to regulations to maintain a safe and legally compliant working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions as necessary to enhance overall safety.
