    Human Resources Internship

    About the Role

    Under the overall guidance of the Head of People and the HR Administrator, the HR Intern will be responsible for providing day to day administrative support to the human resource team. This will include, but not be limited to, recruitment and selection, and general administration.

    The role would suit a young African at the beginning of their career, with strong digital/computer skills. The person will have a strong commitment to civil society, human rights, diversity, transparency, and equality.

    Key Requirements

    • Background (degree or experience) in Human Resources.
    • Recruitment background (degree or experience) desirable.
    • Excellent written and spoken English.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office applications and the internet
    • Good people skills;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Impact & Accountability Officer

    About the Role

    The Impact & Accountability Officer works with the Impact & Accountability Cluster lead to embed CIVICUS’ Impact & Accountability Framework, advise on the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects (in alignment with the organisation’s Developmental Evaluation Framework) and be an advocate for data-driven decision making within CIVICUS and its alliance. The role also focuses on organisational learning and constituency accountability as a key element of work and develops and implements systems/procedures (i.e. DevResults, impact reflections, the public M&E Toolkit, and the organisational-wide feedback and complaints mechanism) to embed continuous learning within the organisation.

    Key Requirements

    • Minimum 5-7 years’ professional experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) concepts and approaches, at least 2-3 years in a relevant functional area/similar role
    • Familiar with civil society, development and human rights issues
    • Familiar with online M&E tools and general technology savviness
    • Strong analytical and methodological skills to support both qualitative and quantitative research
    • Ability to communicate and meaningfully engage with diverse stakeholders, including those not too familiar with M&E
