The purpose of the ICT Steering Committee is to provide strategic direction for the TASEZ
ICT-related projects, as well as provide oversight on ICT governance and appropriate advice on the use of ICT as a strategic enabler to achieve and improve service delivery and operational excellence. In addition, the role of the Committee is to provide expert guidance on ICT-related projects, resource allocation and emerging technologies that can enhance service delivery.
Qualification and Experience:
A minimum of a 3-year national diploma/bachelor’s degree in information technology, or any related qualification at an NQF Level 7 in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
A Post-Graduate Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science will be highly advantageous.
Industry-related certification, such as the following, will be an added advantage:
ITIL V3/V4.
COBIT 5/19.
CGEIT/CRISC/CISA.
27001/CISSP/CISM.
Applicants must have at least 8 years’ experience in an ICT role at a Senior Management level gained within the public or private sector organization.
Proven knowledge and experience as an ICT Steering Committee / Governance Committee of not less than 3 years is advantageous.
Proven knowledge and experience in ICT Management, ICT Security, ICT Governance, ICT Architecture, Digital Transformation, ICT Audit and Risk Management, ICT related legislation and industry standards.
Knowledge of Public Management Act, Treasury Regulations and legislation regulating information communication and technology, and ICT Governance framework in the private or public sector.
Must have knowledge of management principles, good communication skills and ethics, knowledge of corporate governance principles, inquisitiveness and professional judgement.
