    Imports Clerk

    Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required:

    • Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent. 
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position. 
    • Thorough understanding of the logistics/shipping processes. 
    • Excellent business communication skills. 
    • Proficient in MS Office. 
    • Ability to work under pressure.

    • Ability to work efficiently, on own or as part of a team, in a highly pressurised environment. 
    • Meticulous attention to detail.

    Brief Description of Key Performance Areas:

    • Assist the Shipping & Logistics Manager with various duties as assigned.
    • Create purchase orders.
    • Monitor shipments and maintain an up to date shipping calendar.
    • Liaise with clearing agents and generate relevant documentation.
    • Check all clearing agent invoices.
    • Complete costing sheets for each individual container.
    • Liaise with internal/external parties as and when required.
    • Provide assistance with other activities as and when required.
    • Protect the integrity of the company at all times.
    • Assist in other positions and departments in accordance to operational requirements.
    • Ensure that all tasks are executed in a safe manner with due regard for Amrod’s policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a neat and tidy work environment.

    Layout Artist (Fixed term contract)

    Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required:

    • Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent. 
    • Relevant tertiary qualification (NQF 5 or higher) in graphic design and portfolio of evidence, which is essential.
    • Proficient in Adobe Suite. 
    • Above average verbal and written English communications skills to communicate professionally with customers and internally, both telephonically and by email. 
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience and/or proven track record in a Layout Artist or similar position and environment. 
    • Understanding of branding processes. Proven ability to work under pressure. 
    • Proven customer interaction and service history

    • Assist with storyboards and mockups as required. 
    • Ensure work is of the highest standards in order to meet the clients’ requirements. 
    • Adhere to health and safety requirements and ensure compliance at all times. 
    • Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements. 
    • Maintain and improve housekeeping and hygiene standards within department.

    Special Projects Artist Assistant

    • Assist with redraws and guidelines of products. 
    • Assist with Input branding information and limitations into the system to create branding guidelines for customer and internal staff usage. 
    • Assist in managing all branding guideline, redraw items and system input queries. 
    • Assist with storyboards and mockups as required. 
    • Be the custodian of custom boxes and display layouts. 
    • Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements 
    • Maintain good housekeeping standards 
    • Adhere to safety regulations
