    In-Service Training Analytical Chemistry

    Key Performance Areas

    • Conduct laboratory experiments and analyses on various chemical substances using a range of techniques and methodologies.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols while performing experiments.
    • Prepare and standardize solutions, reagents, and samples for analysis as required.
    • Document experimental results accurately and maintain comprehensive lab records for traceability and quality control.
    • Collaborate with team members on analytical projects, contributing to the planning and execution phases.
    • Perform data analysis and assist in interpreting results to support project objectives.
    • Support quality assurance procedures by following established protocols and participating in method validation activities.
    • Assist in training and guiding junior team members in laboratory techniques and methodologies.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric (grade 12) with Maths and Science
    • Completed theoretical modules in Chemistry or a closely related field.
    • Demonstrable experience in a laboratory environment, preferably within the analytical chemistry sector.
    • Proficient in using analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, or titration.
    • Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and good laboratory practices.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team member
    • Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    In-Service Training Chemical Engineering

    Key Performance Areas

    • Assist in the design and analysis of chemical processes under the guidance of senior process controller. 
    • Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate chemical properties and reactions. 
    • Collect and analyse data to aid in process improvement initiatives. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical projects and safety assessments. 
    • Prepare detailed reports on findings and present results to the engineering team. 
    • Contribute to the development and optimization of production processes. 
    • Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workplace. 
    • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric (grade 12) with Maths and Science

    • Demonstrable experience with engineering principles and laboratory techniques related to chemical processes. 
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
