Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

• Provide first line troubleshooting support for Komatsu users based in Wadeville, remote users at home or at Secunda and Witbank, including field engineers;
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and support all aspects of the client infrastructure;
• Provide Client PC support for all hardware/software computer deployments and related issues;
• Analyze, test, implement and support the rollouts of new client technologies such as pc’s, laptops, tablets, and mobile end point devices; and
• Provide client level support for IT deployments and projects.

Minimum Skills required.

• Grade 12;
• Qualification in Information Technology (IT) or related;
• CompTIA A+, N+, S+, ITIL;
• At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar position; and
• Must have driver’s license and own transport.

• Managing Metallurgy Department.
• Defining and monitoring welding procedures for JGA.
• Leading, directing, and supporting all aspect of the metallurgical laboratory.
• Cost center planning and management.
• Monitoring and analysing key metallurgical performance indicators of process operations and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
• Recognizes material and process deficiencies, develops, and implements innovative solutions.
• Responsible for carrying out supplier audits in relation to heat treatment, foundry, forging and welding procedures.
• Incoming material testing and qualification.
• Responsible for carrying out metallurgical failure analysis and reporting of findings.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to optimize the processes.
• Participating in root cause failure investigation for process and product improvement during warranty dispute related to metallurgical issues; and
• Directing and supporting continuous improvement projects in various departments.

Minimum Skills required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical/Engineering.
• Must have 5 years’ experience working in a similar position in heavy Engineering environment.
• Extensive knowledge of metallurgy, welding, and non-destructive testing.
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office suite.
• Must have own transport and valid license; and
