BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
An exciting role that focuses at optimisation opportunities within the Card business into digital solutions and channels such as Online or App. This specialist role allows a colleague to work independently, with a measure of autonomy, work in a multi- disciplinary team both in business and digital teams. This role will advise business on digital innovation and latest trends in digital platforms to improve efficiencies. In this role, you will have an opportunity to influence both business and the digital teams on new digital change programmes and implementation thereof to address business needs.

The high-level duties of the role:
Act as a conduit between the card business and the digital teams to deliver the best possible product that meet customer, colleague and business needs

Analytics accountabilities for the role span both internal and external reporting. The role will support senior internal stakeholders in the CIBT business and the successful applicant will be expected to provide analytic insight based on commercial business understanding to senior stakeholders. Receive completed deceased estate reporting documents from the Fiduciary
Consultants and or Lean system and make telephonic contact with the client.
Manual intake of estates.
Report the deceased estate to all relevant stakeholders via written correspondence, newspaper and Government Gazette (Master of the High Court, SARS, banks, insurance companies, auditors), to obtain Letters of Executorships
Obtain final tax assessment from SARS and finalise the deceased estate, by paying out the amount previously reserved in the cash statement for finalisation of the estate.
Achieve set target as set out by management at the beginning of the year by taking in the executor's fees within the company norms.
Ensure that all post (incoming mail, fax and correspondence) and filing is up to date as per the company norms (three days turnaround time) and report any irregularities (e.g. backlog of filing / post) to management timeously

Keep clients updated on progress of the estate by reporting on a monthly basis
(telephonically, written correspondence, etc) in a professional manner to ensure that a high standard of customer service is given
Maintain a high standard of service during the administration process without any supervision, by providing excellent customer service and immediate attention to client needs
Build and maintain a relationship with various stakeholders (i.e. valuators, auctioneers, attorneys, Master of the High Court, South African Revenue Service) by continuously engaging and ensuring satisfactory client service and good relations
Ensure that queries do not turn into complaints by addressing these within a period of twenty four hours.

Sourcing and Selection:
Contribute to the definition and design of innovative sourcing strategies that will enable the establishment of a diverse pool of talent to meet the evolving needs to the business workforce plan

Job Description
Commercial Finance Execution Accountabilities:
Translate business questions to be solved into data requirements & define data solutions to deliver against these requirements
Proactively partner with the data engineering team to refine the data requirements deliver raw data to Data Science team for interpretation & analysis
Query the relevant database to obtain data and create fit for purpose datasets, using the relevant tools - SQL, SAS
Use advanced data science skills to build solutions that leverage the best suited analytical techniques. These include but are not limited to: advanced statistics, machine learning and deep learning.
Apply quality assurance frameworks to test model & analysis techniques (e.g. algorithms, models) & overall data quality
Produce business insights and recommendations based on data analysis & modelling concluded & where relevant with knowledge and experience of e.g. SAS, Python, R.
Use storytelling and data visualization techniques to maximize impact & deliver a user friendly product to business
Contribute to the consolidation of data solutions into viable end products (in the language of business) that can be leveraged on an ongoing basis e.g. dashboards, reports etc.
Present data analysis (trends, insights, forecasts) & findings to business & show tangible business impact to be derived from the data science process
Promote data literacy with your business stakeholders by sharing best practices and showing tangible business impact & recommendations as a direct result of the data solutions provided
Use best practice methodologies
Adhere to the core Data Governance disciplines in the performance of BI activities. This includes data quality management, information and information security and privacy.
Oversee integrity of reports, both when developing new report as well as when executing existing scripts to ensure data accurately presented
Develop and sustain knowledge and experience on the end to end processes, including relevant systems within scope of work.
Prepare for all cycles in advance and ensure adequate engagement with the relevant finance and business teams.

Financial Reporting Accountabilities:
Generate innovative easy to comprehend progress reports for leaders on their strategic agenda, short-term and long-term plans and investments, operational success metrics, efficiencies, risks and mitigations.
Interact with the stakeholders to agree minimum quality standards, as well as an agreed method of communicating and resolving any identified quality deficiencies in the reporting process.
Own the process of delivery of high-quality information for regular and ad-hoc enhanced reporting to agreed requirements, timelines, and standards.
Act in line with the correct governance and control frameworks across the Finance team, as well as for proactively addressing any deficiencies and exceptions.
Develop and implement control procedures as deficiencies or exceptions are identified which support the production of error-free reports. Assess and drive improvement of business accounting practices and policies.
Take a commercial view on business and provide contextual insights into performance reports.
Integrate advanced modelling and analysis capability to provide actionable intelligence, beyond data within the function.
Generate finance narratives and insights with consultation with business
Ensure appropriate, quality and timeous delivery of accurate financial and non-financial management information to support business objectives and expectations, including appropriate financial and non-financial metrics, valid and insightful comments and packaging the information in a relevant and appropriate manner.
Deliver reporting reflecting deep commercial, holistic understanding, coherency, clarity, and contextualisation. Tell the story with passion and conviction.
Provide thought-leadership, insight, influence and challenge on evolving stakeholder information requirements and reporting processes to deliver analytics.
Align to processes around month-end, year-end and planning cycles across the RBB finance community and BU based on the requirements from Group. Prepare for all cycles in advance and ensure adequate engagement with the relevant finance and BU teams.
Manage the production of regular, high quality, standardised financial and non-financial reporting and analytics to Business and Finance; and focus on effective collaborative stakeholder hand-offs in the production.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Work with the internal clients to fully understand what the business wants and to establish clear creative briefs for projects, guiding them in a suitable direction
Work with other partners to deeply understand the needs and characteristics of target customers
Rigorously analyse business and customer needs alongside potential design options
Build and iterate high-quality prototypes, drawing on feedback from user testing
Clearly explain the design approach, process and timelines to business stakeholders
Assist in building plans for projects, outlining the key tasks, the people responsible for them and the order in which they will be completed
With the input of the designers, create detailed project plans outlining the key tasks, the people responsible for them and the order in which they will be completed
Monitor progress against plan, taking action to overcome issues that are faced
Provide regular updates of progress to senior stakeholders
Develop scenarios, navigation models and prototypes for demonstration of Concepts
Promote technical development through one to one mentoring and through bringing people together to share best-practice
Foster a team environment in which designers feel engaged and motivated
Maintain awareness of ‘best-in-class’ design
Maintain awareness of relevant social, cultural, economic and technological trends
Plan, design and execute user testing, including stakeholder interviews, focus groups, contextual enquiry and usability testing
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, and develop any direct reports they have
Education and Experience Required
NQF Level 6
Masters or Degree in a Design discipline such as product, industrial, service, interaction, digital or visual design or equivalent qualification
6 years + Technical experience
Able to create and use personas and produce illustrated customer journeys
Ability to communicate ideas through drawing, digital tools, prototyping, model making etc.
Two (2) years’ experience conducting audience and usability research including benchmarking, heuristic reviews, surveys, analytics, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, contextual inquiry, and usability testing.
Two (2) years’ experience in each of the usability and software engineering cycle phases (analysis, design, implementation, and deployment)
