    Quality Assurance Officer

    Purpose of the Job

    • To entrench and uphold the AECI quality system in all areas that is implicated in the AECI quality management system with regard to compliance to ISO 9001 framework
    • Provide support and guidance to implement and maintain the quality management system at the global level

    Required outputs: Functional

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the quality management system by conducting quality system audits with respect to implementation, maintenance, improvement and auditing of the AECI quality management system rooted in ISO 9001
    • Provide quality assurance support and advisory services

    Shift Manager-AN

    Job Purpose

    • To manage and control shift operations for the AN Production Plant, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production in line with operational plans. The role is accountable for people, plant, and process performance during the shift, driving production targets, safety excellence, product quality, and effective coordination with maintenance and support functions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)

    Chemical Operator: ANPP 3&4

    Job Purpose

    • To safely and efficiently operate chemical processing equipment within the Nitrates plant, ensuring that production targets, product quality standards, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance requirements are consistently met. The role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and supports operational excellence within the Global Operations Nitrates division.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plant Operations

    • Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    Operations Assistant

    Purpose of the job

    • To assist with housekeeping activities and charging of blasts.

    Required outputs: Functional

    • To assist the MMU Controller in managing and operating all aspects of a mobile manufacturing unit (MMU – BLEND truck) in order to meet the customer requirements with the standards and procedures as defined by AECI (OTIF).
    • To Assist the MMU Controller in the carrying out of regular inspections in terms of SABS and World Class on fixed plant and MMUs to identify non-conformances and institute preventative measures as well as to achieve continuous improvement.

    Head of Finance: Chemicals

    Purpose of the job

    • To partner with the VP: Chemicals in developing, monitoring, governing, and evaluating the overall Business Unit’s finance strategy, financial forecasting, budgets & consolidations, planning & analysis with a focus on bottom line financial and operational performance, while enhancing investor, shareholder & stakeholder value.
    • To oversee financial management, management accounting, cost and plant accounting, procurement, working capital, budgeting, capex governance, and financial reporting.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Initiate and drive the development of the Business Unit finance strategy and annual business planning cycles to support its execution across the businesses and translate it into tangible Finance strategies, initiatives, programmes, and solutions.
    • Lead and direct all aspects of financial reporting and risk management including the financial strategy and oversight of the organisation’s financial management, management accounting, mergers & acquisitions, tax management, asset management, audit, treasury, and investor relations, to minimise financial risks and support organisational sustainability.

    • Drive rolling forecasts, scenario modelling, and financial outlook reporting to support strategic decision-making.
    • Direct, supervise, review, and coordinate the consolidated budgets for the Business Units, and report to the Exco on major financial concerns.
    • Direct, supervise, review and co-ordinate the 3-year capex budget, including regular review and monitoring against actuals and business plans. Assessing projects against business cases is also key.
    • Review and challenge supply chain and procurement cost structures, sourcing strategies, and inventory investment to improve cash flow and margin performance.
    • Manage the recruitment of direct subordinates and foster a high-performance culture by leading and developing a large multidisciplinary team of seasoned finance professionals to support the achievement of the Business Unit’s overall goals and objectives.
    • Establish a culture of ethics and integrity in all decision making/reporting processes throughout the business

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Registered member of SAICA: CA (SA) or CIMA
    • Minimum: Honours Degree in Accounting and or Finance
    • Master’s degree in business administration and or commerce (Advantageous)
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management leading a finance function in preparing and providing monthly management reports and consolidated AFS, as well as audits

    Bagging Plant Operator

    Purpose of the Role

    • To safely and efficiently lead the operation of the Auto Bagging facilities within the Emulsions and Tank Farm Plants. The role ensures continuous, high-quality bagging and packaging of product, provides frontline supervision to operators, supports the Shift Manager, and ensures full adherence to safety, quality, and production requirements within a high-risk chemical manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Control

    Research Scientist

    Purpose of the Job:

    • Lead advanced chemistry research and development projects across the full mining chemicals product line.
    • Develop new products and refine existing product lines and solutions to enhance performance, drive commercial growth and sustain AECI’s technical leadership in the industry.

    MMU Controller

    Purpose of the job
