The successful candidate will become part of a team of highly motivated and experienced software developers which is responsible for the development of a suite of multi-platform applications to support Digital Pen and Paper forms processing solutions.
The work provides interesting technical challenges that require innovative solutions.
The candidate will be required to draw up specifications, implement features, perform quality assurance, and write documentation.
The candidate should be willing to form part of a team and adhere to the standards and guidelines of the project, which includes version control, coding standards, iterative development and code and design reviews.
Five years + experience in the Information Technology field.
Experience in diverse IT projects essential, especially in the role of a project leader or lead developer.
Responsibilities will require a good knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories of system/database design and programming.
Good understanding of SDLC
Responsibilities also require the ability to recognize software/database problems and develop creative solutions for simple to complex projects.
Excellent coding capability in at least one of the following programming languages: C#, VB.NET, C++, Java
Good understanding of n-tier architectures
Knowledge of Relational data base design concepts with hands on experience with any one RDBMS (SQL SERVER, Oracle, DB2)
Proficient in writing stored procedures , SQL queries
Conceptual knowledge of OOPS and understanding of OOAD
Hands on experience with ASP.net, ADO.net and Visual Studio.Net
Experience writing and maintaining C# services essential
Hands on experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, javascript libraries (angular.js, fabric.js)
Familiar with SVN
Having written javascript application frameworks advantageous
Familiar with Dot Net framework, Network security issues, Performance issues, XML and XSL
System design and conceptualization (.NET), including system architecture and technology fit.
Knowledge of sql server reporting services and olap cubes an advantage
Hands on experience in reporting tool ( Crystal reports , Active Reports for .NET) an advantage
Creating effective, efficient, quality source code and executables that meet functional, non-functional and design requirements/standards by performing detailed design, coding, defect fixing and developer testing activities.
Provide development support to current customers by investigating and resolving issues with existing implementations
Assistance with documentation for specific projects.
The programmer reviews, analyzes, designs, programs, modifies, develops and implements software-programming applications and software products.
Writes code and complete programming, and testing of systems and applications.
Converts project specifications and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language.
May train, lead and direct the work of others.
Works with customers and marketing to develop new or custom features to software products/services.
Ability to work with users to define needs, co-ordinate development
Ability to complete development and testing timeously
