    Campaign, Digital Activation & Brand Specialist

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Taking care of general administrative processes required for effective campaign execution.
    • Implementation of approved product brand guidelines for product/crop specific in communication, packaging, collateral, etc across South Africa.
    • Able to make decisions and provide direction to transform campaign plans based in Go-to-Market strategies into customer focused, promotional and communication tactics.
    • Manage, plan and influence Sales team to support the execution of product/crop specific promotional campaigns, launches and trade events (Grower’s meetings, Field days, Demo days, etc) to facilitate their success.
    • Develop or direct the production for locally relevant literature, promotional materials advertising, and sponsorship campaigns to enhance the launch of new products, the growth of existing ones and launch integrated solutions.
    • Collaborate cross functionally/departmentally to prepare and develop content or brochures, displays and posters for sales activities, tradeshows, events, and other external demand generation of products.
    • Coordinate with designers, agencies, media, contractors, and printers of marketing literature to augment the company’s presence in the market by coordinating the production of a wide range of product marketing communications, paid media campaigns and following up on timely preparation and delivery of the materials and campaign activities.
    • Work cross functions, in monitoring active marketing programmers and developing ways to improve those campaigns.
    • Manage product specific media plan and adverts.
    • Plan and manage marketing material and collateral to supports field marketing activities.
    • Working cross functionally/departments to execute successfully on campaign plans.
    • Collaboration with the compliance department/finance and procurement to comply with compliance policies and procedures that touch on marketing activities and events.
    • Maintain liaison with external and internal suppliers commissioning and delivering all marketing material.
    • Develop and implement product/crop specific communication strategies to strengthen customer centricity through digital marketing and social media, while ensuring compliance with corporate standards/guidelines.
    • Oversee development and effective utilization of brand website(s) and eMarketing tactics as required.
    • Manage and track the annual advertising, promotional and demand generation projects, and budgets for specific products/crops on a monthly basis.
    • Roll out the launch of the loyalty program in South Africa
    • Scale up loyalty program in 2025

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Advertising, Sales pr publicity coordination, event management, marketing communication and office administration.
    • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Brand Management, Business, or related fields.
    • Experience in working with marketing campaigns, preferably digitally based.
    • Agricultural background, experience in seed, crop protection and /or biotechnology industry is preferred.
    • Good Microsoft skills (Excel/Power Point/Word) a prerequisite.
    • Highly motivated, creative dynamic and well organised.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in English and Afrikaans, oral and written, is required.
    • Customer and market oriented.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and processes with associated deadlines for deliverable results.
    • Proven ability to influence effectively in a matrix organization and works well in teams.
    • Budget/resource allocation and management experience.
    • Ability to work well across commercial and smallholder farmer markets.

    Site Lead - Lichtenburg

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Lead SSHE as 16:2 legal appointee and provide resources to ensure compliance with Safety policies and procedures as set by Bayer and ISO45001 standards.
    • Responsible for management of field and plant operations in utilizing onePSS as platform.
    • Leads key planning activities, from crop plan, field, processing and inventory control.
    • Strategy and tactical planning short and long-term to ensure sustainable seed production.
    • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and management systems as set by ISO 9001:2015
    • Responsible for budget control and cost management.
    • Responsible to set KPI`s to support goals and objectives
    • Identify training needs and annually assess progress of people development, including succession planning.
    • Plan and execute the Capex plan for field and plant operations.
    • Leading Management of Change for implementation of production systems (onePSS).
    • Support the continuous improvements initiatives identified through onePSS.
    • Mentor and coach people leaders with DSO (Dynamic Shared Ownership) as basic operating model. Transition to a fully DSO organization.
    • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, ethical standards and human rights.
    • Develop and implement new systems, best practices, and optimizations to enable business growth.
    • Establish and monitor organizational budgets to manage COGs and a strong emphasis on capital expenditure management.

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or mechanical, and 5 years experience in seed production
    • Hands on experience and technical proficiency in seed processing activities and management of a team
    • Field seed production experience desirable
    • Fluent in English
    • MS Office software (Excel, E-mail, Word, Project etc.) proficiency.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Results focused with ability to work on own initiative
    • Strong teamwork (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influencing others) maintaining contamination prevention systems.

    Area Sales Manager – Crop Protection (Central)

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • To actively shape the area strategy from a sales and customer point of view with the territory sales manager and other relevant functions.
    • To define and implement a differentiating area sales strategy fully consistent with country / marketing / customer strategy.
    • To optimize use of commercial policies (Market funding) and channel partner/ agent programs.
    • To build relationships and shape his or her channel partners, exceeding the relevant benchmarks in customer satisfaction.
    • To develop capabilities of his or her channel partners according to requirements of future Go to Market strategy, benchmarks, customer satisfaction expectations.
    • To develop and implement an ambitious and consistent sales plan in line with country objectives as well as legal and compliance rules and obligations.
    • To ensure delivery of forecasted results according to sales plan utilizing superior operative sales planning, forecasting, and monitoring (incl. price and product flow) mechanisms and KPIs and taking timely and matching corrective actions in case of deviations from plan.
    • To closely follow up, actively share with corresponding functions, esp. marketing, and dynamically respond to opportunities, issues, market changes incl. competitor moves, adjusting tactics as required.
    • Ensure implementation of corporate guidelines and compliance policies 

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Degree in Agriculture and/or Business Administration or equivalent years of experience.
    • Solid agricultural knowledge and understanding of local market environment.
    • Track record in leadership positions and seed sales.
    • Previous operational experience in customer facing positions.

    • Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships.
    • Ability to work well across both commercial and smallholder farmer markets.
