    Senior Third Line Analyst (Fixed Term Contract)

    What you will do:

    • Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning.
    • Monitor, maintain database systems and troubleshoot problems that may arise.                    
    • Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users).
    • Use tools like SQL Profiler for database tuning. Generate traces, execution plans, identify performance issues, deadlocks/contention and resolve them.
    • Develop strategies and implement solutions for managing back-ups, restoration and replication.
    • Create and manage constraints and indexes.
    • Support software developers with database operation
    • Proactive housekeeping/archiving and shrinking of databases.
    • Manage production, QA and development database environments.
    • Create detailed documentation including diagrams of database infrastructure.
    • Learn relevant business processes and understand the data flow, criticality and dependencies.
    • Effectively coordinate and communicate with all the stakeholders (internal teams and clients).
    • Set up and maintain database infrastructure for the company’s BI needs
    • Assist with transitions from on premises to cloud solutions.

    Essential Skills/Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a MS SQL database environment
    • Solid experience with SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
    • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Documentation skills
    • Assertiveness in the face of the customer when needing to explain or defend a technical standpoint or approach.
    • Passion for customer satisfaction and service excellence
    • Highly motivated, disciplined and ambitious
    • Happy to work remotely without any physical access to the infrastructure
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Ability to perform well under pressure
    • Knowledge of Oracle will be advantageous

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
    • 6 to 10 years’ experience in administering Microsoft SQL server databases.
    • Extensive experience writing T-SQL and stored procedures and query tuning on high transaction systems.
    • Experienced in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
    • Experienced in ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) development / data integration.
    • Sound knowledge of RDBMS concepts, database architecture and SQL/T-SQL.
    • Proficient with SQL server profiler for monitoring and troubleshooting database activity and performance.
    • Experience in SQL Server Clustering and HA technologies including mirroring, log shipping, failover cluster and various replication technologies would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of other databases like MySQL, No SQL databases and In-memory databases and MCTIP certification will be an advantage.
    • Ability to develop procedure documents and maintain detailed database related documents.
    • Innovative approach to work, constantly looking for upgrading the system to more efficient and effective new technologies.

    Global Service Desk Director

    What you'll do

    Team Management: 

    • Provide strategic management and direction to the Service Desk team, setting clear goals and, objectives.
    • Foster & drive a high-performance culture, ensuring team members are motivated, engaged, and supported in their professional growth. 
    • Encourage collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge sharing among team members and the different delivery locations. 

    Service Desk Operations: 

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Service Desk, ensuring service levels are met or exceeded. 
    • Continuously evaluate and enhance the Service Desk's capabilities, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies. 
    • Forefront initiatives to drive continuous improvement, such as process optimization, automation, and the implementation of new tools or technologies. 
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to IT service delivery. 

    Stakeholder Relationship Management: 

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and escalation point for service-related matters. 
    • Collaborate to understand their IT support needs, develop customized service solutions, and ensure client satisfaction. 
    • Collaborate with other internal teams, such as the Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and support the achievement of organizational goals. 
    • Work closely with senior management to provide insights, reports, and recommendations on Service Desk operations and performance. 

    Financial Management: 

    • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the Service Desk's budget. 
    • Monitor and control operational expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. 
    • Conduct financial analysis and reporting to track performance against budget and financial goals. 
    • Own and understand the pricing model and structures.  

    What you'll need

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
    • Experience of managing large people organisations 
    • Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT managed service company and Service Desk operations. 
    • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, and demonstrated experience in implementing and adhering to ITIL processes. 
    • Experience managing a geographically dispersed and diverse team. 
    • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills. 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. 
    • Proven track record in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. 
    • Understanding of IT service management tools and technologies.

    Coordinator - PA - Contractor

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Diary Management
    • Organize & schedule meetings & reminders
    • Room bookings
    • Catering
    • Organizing off-site meetings
    • Assistance with organizing larger meetings
    • Liaising with CWT (travel company) to book offsite meetings/ events
    • National and International travel arrangements
    • Preparing Travel Agendas
    • Booking flights, trains and taxis
    • Hotel bookings
    • Managing Expenses
    • Completing and submitting Manager’s expense and mileage logs via KDS
    • Monitoring expenditure approvals, finding out additional information if required
    • Regular 121’s with your Director’s to review workload

    General Administration Tasks:

    • Follow up on actions from team meetings
    • Manage Distribution Lists
    • Manage Microsoft Teams sites
    • Setting up and running Live Teams Events
    • Ad-hoc tasks as required
    • Project collaboration and take on of admin tasks out of the wider team

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Matric or Equivalent Qualification
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant working in a corporate environment
    • Experience working on SAP system
    • Highly organized with attention to detail
    • Able to work to deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    • Able to build effective working relationships at all levels
    • Pro-active
    • Experience working independently
    • Team player
    • Good MS Office Skills
    • Administration Management
