Educational requirements:

• National Level Qualification or higher in graphic design, digital design, film, or a related field.

Experience required:

• Have 3-5years design experience in an in-house creative department or agency type environment - specialising in creative asset creation for Web | Mail | Digital | Social | Display | Print
• Proficient in using Apple products (i.e. Mac)
• Complete portfolio of multimedia design content showcasing skills and experience.
• Proficient in current design and layout software, including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite & Figma
• Animation and video editing experience in industry standard packages such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects

Responsibilities:

• Work in conjunction with internal team and overall business stakeholders to ensure that marketing communication is aligned to the brand tone, guidelines and objectives
• Become familiar with brand/corporate guidelines across our portfolio of clients to ensure all artwork complies.
• Continuously evaluate and ensure all creative work produced is fresh, effective, relevant and market-trend related
• Design and develop collateral for all routes to market including but not limited to: Web | Mail | Digital | Social | Display | Print
• Implement, design and adapt templates and workflows for above collateral
• Align with Creative Lead with regard to direction, messaging and execution of all creative work and campaigns before it is passed back to originator / briefer
• Explore and develop video content opportunities
• Extend knowledge of design trends and best practices through constant research - including new media formats, platforms and executions.
• Drive business growth by interrogating current practices and identifying new ways of working/output within the marketing team

RESPONSIBILITIES      

• Develop and implement effective talent management strategies for identifying skill gaps that aligns to business objectives, BBBEE objectives, EE targets and Skills development plans in partnership with HR.
• Development, design and execution of specific programmes and initiatives to support aspiring leaders to develop the knowledge and skills required to step up to managerial and leadership roles in line with SAQA requirements.
• Makes recommendations to EXCO regarding training and development interventions to ensure staff is equipped with the necessary skills.
• Plans and manages annual training and development budget and manages ongoing relationships with all vendors ( including SETA’s)
• Ensures maximum ROI on training initiatives
• Custodian of bi - annual climate survey,  reports and action plans.
• Ensures defined career paths and succession plans in place for key roles within the organisation.
• Ensures the successful implementation and management of all learnership, internships and graduate programmes and provides on-going analysis of programmes and candidates.
• Continuous personal development, ensures attendance of regular webinars, training, programs to keep up to date on trends and industry best practice.
• Supports the Training department where necessary with facilitation and coaching at managerial level.
• Plan and lead execution of end-to-end onboarding for our national and global team members.
• Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
• Report on metrics to measure training effectiveness, utilisation, and compliance.
• Connect performance management, succession planning with development solutions to support talent management requirement.

QUALIFICATION         

• Relevant Completed Degree
• Relevant subject matter certifications
• Certified assessor, moderator and verifier would be advantageous.

EXPERIENCE   

• Min 10 years’ experience in a similar role at a Senior Managerial level.
• Experience in content creation and facilitation at managerial level.
• Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
• Train-the-trainer and coaching experience.

• Analysis, investigation and management of stock and action plans to manage slow
• movers, EOL, Open Box, Returns, SOH, Faulty stock, Ageing, Celullar stock, Accessories.
• Ensure SLA with warehouse are adhered to
• Reduction and clearance of Aged stock
• Manage price protection process and reconciliation. Ensure iStore margin maintained,
• and actively manage sellout of product.
• Ensure successful claims from suppliers
• Daily accurate allocations and on time submission to Warehouse
• Listing of new products and maintaining Pricing, SKU codes, descriptions etc.
• Management of ordering from external suppliers
• Manage stock allocation and requests, pricing queries received from Stores, Visual
• Merchandising guidelines and Accessory Range queries, communicating price changes,
• advising on pricing for Open Box units.
