    Assistant Manager - Mining Engineer

    Your Key Responsibilities
    The role is client facing and requires multi-commodity experience. In the role the you will be required to execute on proposals, project management and timeous invoicing. The role may require travel from time-to-time to remote locations.

    The role is suitable to a person who has gained practical experience at a mining operation and has begun to develop competence in the Mineral Reserve estimation process. The role will require firm understanding of the mining industry with technical mining consulting experience in the following, but not limited, disciplines:

    Skills And Attributes For Success

    • Open pit and/or Underground related experience would be regarded as a MUST.
    • Mineral asset valuation and evaluation experience is required
    • Ability to utilise your expertise to conduct a full range of mining engineering functions
    • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the mining value-chain.Assi
    • Exposure to Technical Due Diligence and Reviews.
    • Exposure in International Public Reporting Codes including but not limited to: SAMREC, NI43-101, JORC and other.
    • Demonstrated experience with cross discipline collaboration in a mining environment
    • Exposure in assisting a Competent Person in Mineral Reserve estimation.
    • Performance/business improvement experience in the mining industry will be advantageous
    • Develop and mentor junior engineers and technical staff in the skills and procedures needed to effectively deliver engineering and consulting assignments

    To qualify for the role, you must have

    • Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering
    • 2 – 5 years relevant practical mining experience at a mining operation or consulting company
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to building internal and external networks.
    • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and general report writing skills

    Ideally, you’ll also have

    • A holder or studying towards a financial or an accounting qualification
    • Previous consulting experience

    Actuarial Manager 1

    Your Key Responsibilities
    We’ll look to you to take a holistic approach to the role, developing your skills and knowledge in multiple areas. That means you won’t just be working on pensions or insurance. You’ll add value beyond what’s traditionally expected by modeling risk in multiples areas, including pricing and data analysis. You’re likely to spend most of your day working on your projects, with occasional direct meetings with clients to monitor and discuss progress.

    Skills And Attributes For Success

    • Identifying the key levers that impact solvency ratios and return on equity to optimize our clients’ capital position
    • Modeling, documenting and preparing application files
    • Validating estimate models
    • Providing audit support for Solvency II /SAM and Non-Life Technical Provisions
    • Acting as an actuarial professional, providing guidance on a wide range of areas, such as life and general insurance, investment, corporate finance, risk management and pensions
    • Further developing your team by coaching and mentoring a junior colleague

    To qualify for the role, you must have:

    • 3+ years’ experience in the Non-Life Insurance industry
    • Qualified/ Almost Qualified Actuary
    • Strong experience in financial reporting (SAM/Solvency II, IFRS, MCEV, economic capital and MI)
    • Managerial experience, including leading teams and projects
    • Experience in local regulatory reporting (experience in other AIM regions would be beneficial)
    • Exposure to strategic considerations, including engagements with Boards and Senior Management
    • A strong sense of commercial awareness

    Ideally, you’ll also have

    • The executive presence and confidence to work with senior clients
    • A global mindset with an appreciation of how organizations must respond to new risks that the forces of globalization bring

    Talent Manager (Maternity Cover)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Co-operate with Partners to resolve people issues
    • Make sure all HR policies (Recruiting, PMDP, and Learning & Development) are followed throughout the company
    • Contribute to maintaining a positive working climate and environment. Encourages and supports company people surveys
    • Facilitate focus group discussions and monitors action planning
    • Set goals (annual and long-term) for the HR department following the regional HR and company goals
    • Identify improvement opportunities in HR functions following business and company needs and initiates implementation
    • Working with wider HR team to ensure consistency of approach across all groups, and across the firm
    • Build and maintain influential relationships with key stakeholders

    • Deliver a cultural and operational shift within the group, leading to greater self-sufficiency in terms of use of HR Shared Service Centre, and managers and partners taking greater responsibility for management of people issues

    To qualify for the role, you must have:

    • Around 6-9 yrs of prior experience in HR
    • Have a primary degree and relevant post-graduate qualification
