    Senior Maintenance Planner

    The Role

    • Trade certificate (Fitter/Boilermaker/Electrician/Millwright)
    • South Africa, North West, Rustenburg
    • Senior Maintenance Planner

    Skills and Competencies Required:

    • Computer literate
    • Sound SAP (PM) Transactional Knowledge
    • Prometheus System knowledge will be advantageous
    • Knowledge of the HSEC System
    • Good communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Able to work under pressure
    • 5 Years working experience in the engineering environment
    • Working experience as a maintenance artisan/supervisor required

    Job Objectives:

    • Capture and maintain maintenance plans and update task lists on SAP
    • Performing all planning and scheduling (Legal and maintenance requirements)
    • Plan for shutdowns and track progress
    • Ordering of spares
    • Compiling maintenance reports (Cost, Availability and Planning etc.)
    • Creating bill of materials
    • Maintain critical spares register and availability
    • Coach users on PM Functions
    • Assist with project administration
    • Perform standby duties

    • Knowledge of VSD and SIMCODE
    • Knowledge and understanding of Siemens PCS7 SCADA system, programming is advantageous

    Job Objectives: 

    • Manage the electrical and instrumentation department
    • Coordinate and manage continuous improvement projects

    • Ensure asset care and maintenance of relevant electrical and instrumentation and process control equipment within the Plant
    • Ensure compliance to the HSEC Standards and Policies

    • Ability to take initiative and innovatively improve current risk management process, concepts and methodologies.
    • Medically fit
    • Good interpersonal communication skills
    • Must be able to work under pressure

    Job Objectives:

    • Responsible to manage the risk profile of the Smelter holistically
    • Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation and advise on best practices
    • Periodically review Baseline and Issue Based Risk Assessments
    • Ensure bowties are reviewed periodically and in place
    • Monitor Critical Controls
    • Facilitate / enforce management of change process
    • Assist in developing processes to better evaluate asset specific risks;
    • Monitor important and critical Risks Issues (Material Risks);
    • Conducting Risk and Compliance Assessments.
    • Compliance to corporate Risk Management Framework that which is governed by international standards as well as national legislations in term of HSECQ is achieved.
    • Implement and maintain an integrated risk framework for the entire operation
    • The plant’s risk profile and registers are updated accordingly, which highlight areas of concerns that management must act upon.
    • Monitor and assist in developing plans to mitigate risks
