    Intern (Career Centre)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Run E-mailer campaign .
    • Provide graduates with the job requirements and overview of the prospective employers.
    • Obtain job descriptions and company specifications for entry level positions.
    • Match graduate CV’s from database to job descriptions and company specifications.
    • Present candidates where possible during sit-down session with prospective employer.
    • Ask and confirm that CV’s meet the expectations of the prospective employer.
    • Arrange interviews with shortlisted graduates.
    • Follow up with graduate and ensure he/she is fully prepared for first day at the office.
    • Follow up with graduate at the end of his/her first day and first week at the office.
    • Follow up with employer at end of graduate’s first day.
    • Follow up with employer after two to four weeks after employment.
    • Update database with complete details; including Graduate’s new position, title and salary details.
    • Company’s feedback on overall impression of candidates presented
    • Generate statistical data and reports as required for reporting.
    • To assist the department in the placements of RC graduates.
    • Prepare graduates who will be put forward for possible vacancies by the department.
    • Process graduate curriculum Vitae’s submitted to the department to the requirements set by the department.
    • Write reports on workshops, placements, graduate success etc. for publication by Communications Department or as per the instruction of your manager.

    • Schedule graduates for Graduate Work Readiness coaching sessions.

    Part Time Lecturer - Foundation and Intermediate Phase: Psychology forEducators

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Lecturing: Lecture and facilitate Student Support workshops and subject-specific tutorials as required.
    • Teaching and Learning Support.

    Student Wellness Manager - Cape Town

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Counselling

    • Implementation of on-site primary counselling services, trauma containment & crisis management
    • Marketing & Promotion of the service to students
    • Maintaining of case files and counselling statistics within SACSSP/HPCSA standards

    Community Engagement (CE)

    • Create a campus specific planner for CE projects and manage the implementation thereof for each site
    • Ensure the active functioning of the CE committee of the Student Council
    • Monitor, evaluate and analyse projects to inform future planning & measure impact of projects

    Management of the Student Council

    • Plan and implement the SC election process
    • Provide enough training, team building and development opportunities for the SC

    Social Awareness & Education

    • Design and Plan effective Social Awareness & Education Campaigns aimed at addressing campus specific needs

    Reporting

    Requirements:

    • NQF Level 8 Qualification in Social work or counselling psychology
    • NQF Level 9 Qualification in Social work or counselling psychology (Advantegeous)
    • Registration as a Social Worker with the SACSSP or a registered Counsellor or Psychologist with the HPCSA
    • 1 – 2 years of face-to-face counselling experience, post-qualification
    • 2-3 years’ experience working with the youth.
    •  Comfortable using technology for uploading and accessing client files.
    • Availability on evenings and weekends is considered a plus.

    • Embed current legislation, industry practices, and emerging trends in security, law enforcement, and risk management.
    • Collaborate with academic development, quality assurance, and regulatory teams.
    • Review and provide expert input on qualification documentation and academic materials.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A Master’s degree (NQF 9) or higher in:
    • Security Management,
    • Policing / Law Enforcement,
    • Criminology / Criminal Justice, or
    • closely related field
    •  Extensive industry experience in security services, law enforcement, or security/risk management.
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development, or programme design.
    • Demonstrated experience working across multiple NQF levels (certificate to postgraduate) will be advantageous.
    • Experience in qualification development and accreditation processes is highly desirable.
    • Professional registration with relevant bodies (e.g., PSIRA) will be advantageous.
    • Qualification at least one NQF level higher than the highest qualification being developed will be advantageous.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Student Teaching Experience Placement Administration;

    • The administrator will manage the administrative processes related to student

    Teaching Experience placements, including:

    • Capturing and updating student placement data in the Teaching Experience database or tracking system.
    • Collecting and organising student placement forms and documentation.

    • Preparing and sending placement letters and official correspondence to schools.
    • Preparing mentor teacher information packs.
    • Managing and filing email communication related to Teaching Experience.
    • Ensuring all documentation is accurately filed and accessible.

    Teaching Experience Supervisor Administration

    • The administrator will support the TEC in managing the administrative processes related to Teaching Experience Supervisors, including:
    • Maintaining an updated database of Teaching Experience Supervisors (TES).
    • Preparing documentation related to supervisor appointments and allocations.
    • Assisting with supervisor allocation to student placements.
    • Coordinating logistics for supervisor meetings, training sessions, and briefings.
    • Recording attendance and documentation from supervisor training sessions.

    Compliance and Documentation Management

    • The administrator will ensure that all Teaching Experience administrative documentation is accurately maintained, including:
    • Managing student indemnity forms.
    • Preparing registers for events, workshops, and placement activities.
    • Maintaining records for audit and compliance purposes.
    • Uploading required documentation to the SOE Teams channel.
    • Maintaining secure and organised digital and physical filing systems
